Pies started faves against the Swans last week as well, but drifted out pretty quickly.

The team that trounced one of last year's Grand Finalists is the favourite over the team that lost and will be without 3 of its best 4 players (amongst others). What's wrong with that?
everyone loves being the underdog...having said that I do think that given the pies haven't beaten the Eagles in Perth since 1992 I'm surprised Eagles aren't favourites especially with Pies having 6-day break and Rocca having played his 1 good game for the month

It's an interesting stat, but Collingwood have only been drawn to play WC in Perth 7 times since 1992, so it's not as though they have lost here in each of the last 15 years.

If you want to bet on the Eagles do it now before they shorten.
If you want to bet on the Pies wait till Friday arvo when they are at longer odds.
if the game was in Melbourne then Pies would be $1.50 fav i reckon...finals against the reigning premier in Perth is not easy

Collingwood still have the disadvantage of a 4 hour flight, unfamiliar surroundings, limited supporter in the crowd etc., which will have some effect.
Winning at Subiaco Oval isn't as hard as people make out. West Coast's good home record over the last few years (the 'house of pain') is due to West Coast being a very good side over the last few years.
$2000 just laid down on WCE, nice $1800 return im awaiting.

Home finals are valuable but not as much as made out. The home team generally wins because they are the better side which is why they finished higher. In this case the injuries to WCE midfielders is a wild card throwing the rankings out.
Another 50/50 game for mine. Given where I thought we’d be I’ll take that.
As for favouritism, 1.80 and 1.90 is pretty even. It also shows the folly of betting on footy with official outlets. An even game and both teams below evens.

When was the last time West Coast took the field at Subiaco Oval minus Cousins, Judd and Kerr?
