It won’t be pick 2, more likely a pick outside the top ten.
You are dreaming.

I’m pretty sure we’ll finish sixth.
Will beat The Bummers in an EF and lose narrowly to an interstate team in the SF.
Prelim in 2023 followed by flags in 24, 25 and 26.
Not supporting it or saying it's going to happen, but IF the club is able to use it to trade back into this year - other clubs might think it will be an incredibly high pick in 2022 and give us a number of picks - and it allows us to address, for example, picking 2 of the best KPD available, then it's an optionSorry but why is trading our future 1st even in the conversation right now?
I'm cautiously for it if we're able to secure the services of a developed rookie who can elevate us with Daicos, Kreuger and Lipinski into better territory on the ladder. I think we need to be open to possibilities. Say we get a Top 5 pick this year and work to being in that 10-12 region next, it's worth it. I'm not for blindly taking someone and the deal would need to favour us. Do I think we'll finish 18th next year? No. Is next year's pool good? I don't know. I do know that this year there are options. If we need a KPD, Charlie Dean. KPF, Hammelmann. To me, I think a nippy midfielder or Nik Cox-type would round out a successful draft. Not supporting it or saying it's going to happen, but IF the club is able to use it to trade back into this year - other clubs might think it will be an incredibly high pick in 2022 and give us a number of picks - and it allows us to address, for example, picking 2 of the best KPD available, then it's an option
Further, the club may be planning on a high profile player leaving at the end of 2022 and therefore they can use his currency as our first rounder or package with 2023 first to trade in a KPF star
Agree with all thisI'm cautiously for it if we're able to secure the services of a developed rookie who can elevate us with Daicos, Kreuger and Lipinski into better territory on the ladder. Nick Daicos won't help by himself. Rowell has struggled without people around him as he gets targeted so I'd like to see us build up a team that gives Daicos a fair shot at AFL level.
Agree with all this
That’s kind of my pointWhy is it cruel on the club if it was club incompetence?
Cruel on the player who had no part in the mismanagement, but not the club.
Specific advice on adjective / verb choice or more "vibe"I told him to write it..

Can’t decide if this is the goodest or bestest responseYeah.. all that and that re sort of a thing and that.
It should always be in the conversation, everything is for sale at the right price.Sorry but why is trading our future 1st even in the conversation right now?
YESIt should always be in the conversation, everything is for sale at the right price.
Would you do the trade, our future first for GWS”s pick 2 this year, after Norf don’t place a bid on Nick.
I see the irony.
Still think we are likely to make one more trade on Monday to as they have previously said cover the worse case scenario of the Daicos bid unless they are now 100% certain the bid won’t come at 1. I will go for Brisbane 41 for 58 and a future third.
Still think they will re-consider it if we don’t have enough points as they could potentially gain from it in the 2022 draftIt's 100% sure he won't get Bid at Pick 1
We clearly have been told they aren't bidding, hence the trade out of that pick to saints. As we had enough points prior to that for pick 1.Still think they will re-consider it if we don’t have enough points as they could potentially gain from it in the 2022 draft
North want a franchise player in JHF.We clearly have been told they aren't bidding, hence the trade out of that pick to saints. As we had enough points prior to that for pick 1.
And they have never had the number 1 pick, why would they waste their only chance, not to mention how it would go with for promoting their rebuild by bidding.North want a franchise player in JHF.
I could be wrong but I am still expecting another trade on Monday. We clearly have been told they aren't bidding, hence the trade out of that pick to saints. As we had enough points prior to that for pick 1.
Monday is the deadline for last pick trades, so we'll see.I could be wrong but I am still expecting another trade on Monday.
And they have never had the number 1 pick, why would they waste their only chance, not to mention how it would go with for promoting their rebuild by bidding.
Especially when there is not much between the two players. You draft the player you know you will get.
That isn't worth throwing away your only #1 pick for someone you aren't getting. If JHF is on the top of their rankings, then that's the way they'll go.To make sure we payed the Max for Nick but that not Happening
think our club has an internal competition on to see if they can blow more first rounders then second. Hard to say which one is leading.Swear to god if we trade out another pick 2 for a bunch of mediocre picks theres gonna be a riot
No they won’t. They’ve come out and publicly declared that that they’re taking JHF at 1, they won’t go back on that, especially given the kids very public desire to get the number 1 crown this draft.Still think they will re-consider it if we don’t have enough points as they could potentially gain from it in the 2022 draft
