I thought it was poor form for the Bloos to go public on his mental health issues when delisted. Thought that should have been kept in house.
Stocker went public with anxiety issues a couple of years ago and has remained public about it ever since.

Massive red flag over our list management direction if we were to bring in Mitchell. That's aside from his qualities as a player, which I'm not exactly sold on either. Any confidence I have in GW would be gone at that point.
How so? We still need to win games of football, we have a glaring issue on ball and particularly if Grundy moves on. If he can plug a whole for a couple of years perfect! I think it’s an awesome scenario for us, top end talent output wise and it’ll be awesome for the younger guys to learn off a Brownlow medallist!

He can play, but he can't run. He's naturally slow, but I suspect he just hasn't worked hard enough on his endurance.
That’s all good and well, but somebody with mental health problems is not ideal. Nothing against him, wish him all the best but we have to bring in the best and most capable. Resilience is big part of playing professional sport .

Grundy to Melb, pay that 300$ p/a
Melb pick 1… approx 15-18 plus Van Rooyen.
If they don’t like that, they can go pound sand.
Enjoy running an aging ruckman (Gawn) into the ground. 👍

Is van Rooyen a first round caliber trade. We really need two first rounders for Grundy in that deal

He’s the second best ruck in the comp at his worst. Potentially gets back to his best after his layoff. He does things that no other ruck can do.
Sounds like we should keep him.

i can’t believe I’m saying this again, but I’ve got a full body condom on this time. As part of the trade we should ask for H…H… Har…… I can’t say it. We should get the bloke whose old man smashed a ball back into play from 4 rows back in the stands in the ‘79 GF.

Wayne ain’t his dad.

De Goey has ADHD - not ideal?

Pretty poor deal for us.
I’d prefer him, but depending on trade capital, Mitchell might do

For Parish you got to deal with the Dodo Bird. Would be tough o get a deal done.

We dodged a bullet with Taranto and Hopper, GWS want 2 first round picks for Taranto and a top 10 pick for Hopper, unfortunetly, they want a second rounder for Hill.

At worst we can offer a future 2, but might get it done with our 3rd round which will come in to a late 30’s pick after FS bids

But Weideman has been in the AFL since 2016 - 7 years. It's not like there hasn't been time to adequately assess his worth as a player.

Still can't shake this feeling he's worth a punt

Don't ask me why because there's no traditional logic behind it. Nothing more than gut feel

Just reckon he needs a new environment and I feel like ours is one that's conducive to getting something out of someone like him

He's no good mate, plus we have Johnson, Freddy and Mcstay

What they want and what they get are going to be two very different things. They can kick and scream all they want, but they’re in a situation where they have to shed salaries, they don’t have a strong hand in negotiations.
