Not bad for Brisbane. They get a mature mid and those picks give them plenty of points for their academy selections.

Are they trying to cut us out on Aish? What then satisfies them; Saints future 2nd? Would have thought they'd want more.

I think they have said it will cost more than a 2nd rounder :/

If you're right it means North will take Aish with 17 in the draft. Both North and Bears screw us over that way.

Then again hopefully he still comes to us via trade.

Just posted in our Aish thread that the involvement of Pickering in all this may be what helps us.

Bastinac is contracted and there has been no confirmation that he will accept the trade to Brisbane. Pickers tells them Bastinac will stay at North unless you get Aish to the Pies.

Fingers crossed anyway.

The Magpies are prepared to hand over two first-round picks for Treloar and a second-round pick. However AFL.com.au understands the delay is related to whether the Giants hand over pick No.27, which they hold, or pick No.28, which is likely to come in from Carlton.

That is ridiculous. Firstly haggling over a 1 pick differential and secondly why trade a 2nd (26) to get a 2nd back (possibly 27 or 28)? Wouldn't they cancel each other out? We surely wouldn't be paying more than 2 firsts.
