I actually doubt that it's GWS holding us up at this point, it's odds-on to be Carlton.

IMO the Treloar deal and all its 'fair value' haggling has been done, the gentlemen's agreement being that they'll give us Carlton's pick when they receive it.

On the other hand Carlton are trying to land FOUR players from one club (ever been done before?), and have picks 20, 21 & 28 to bargain with. They'll be offering up all kinds of permutations, except the deal GWS actually want.

If Silvagni continues to drift in the wind, Hine might just say to hell with it and do the deal for pick 27. It matters though, because Brisbane will care if the pick is earmarked for the Aish deal.

Treloar is a generational type player, you don't walk away from that. Especially at 22. Anyone else, yes.

Pick 7 and 2016 1st for your pick 3 this year and maybe a steak knife (Matera or one of their newly acquired future 2nds). Take Treloar at 3. If the Blooz play funny buggers and take him at #1 we take Weitering.
