Ah.. I remember the good old days when people could pretend our sport was clean...

What are the odds of Carlisle sitting out like Keeffe and Thomas
Judd took two top 5 picks. That years pick, Kennedy who was top 5 the previous year, and a second rounder.100% this. Very few players have demanded two first round picks, Chris Judd did not even requirefirst rounders.
Beams was a current top 15 and contracted.
Treloar would be a top 25 and uncontracted. No way we would give up two first rounders. I love treloar, outside of Ollie wines he's my favourite young mid in the comp, I'd be disappointed if we used two first rounders on him however.
But is it wrong that all I ever want is for a great kick/decision maker who plays down back? Seriously, we had hope for Seedsman and it's all gone. You didn't even name him in the 4 defenders(which I completely agree with).
I just feel we have way too many bad kicks. It's improving, but it's no where near elite.
Agreed, add Ramsay to that list and there's 2 elite kicks and 2 very reliable kicks. It at least reduces the need for Brown and Frost to kick the ball.yeah i do agree but I guess I am thinking Scharenberg and Maynard will be and I think Langdon is a very good kick. He is not a brilliant stab kick but he does weight his kicks well to advantage. Not having Reid has really hurt. Goldsack also a good kick.
Dixon has been offered 6 mill over 5 years, so talk of 500 - 600 for him is far too low. And is Lynch even on the table? It amuses me when people say we should go after player X or Y, despite them not even wanting to move, nor the club wanting to trade them. It is hard enough getting players who actually want to move, let alone players who are happy with their club, and who's club is happy with them.
Treloar for Witts and our 2nd rounder...? That is highway robbery. Both of the competing clubs (North and Rich) would offer far more than that. Witts is a player who may not even make it in a position that is more of a secondary position in terms of importance. Treloar has already made it and is dominating one of the most critical positions on the field.
Yes, McCarthy is contracted. So is most good forwards. I don't see how we will make the top 8 next year, if we go in with the same setup.
So yes we have to poach a contracted player. If we don't get Dixon, we need to pay overs for an established forward.
Look at the dogs, Sydney... Paid absolute overs(Boyd, franklin) to ensure a KPF for the next 10 or so years- which will probably help ensure them a few finals.
I'm not saying go Tom Boyd crazy, all I'm saying is if we don't get a gun forward through draft. We need to look at the trade table. Look at the way, Boyd walked out out of GWS, so money talks. Same with beams.
There's no way we"ll be premiership chances during 2017-2019 with Cloke, white and Moore. Moore will be in is 3rd-4th season. Cloke will probably be close to done.
And please don't say Moore will be great, so we are going to back to rely on one forward?
I want Aish more tbh. I feel that he won't cost us as many draft picks and he's shown potential to be a handy player. Treloar will cost us way too much in terms of draft picks and young players.Going by Reports. We are really going to try and Upgrade our Midfield over the Pre-Season with Hopefully Treloar and Aish being Added
Littlefrownbog lol he has serious hatred and an obsession with posting negative things about Collingwood every week lol not well is it, not well at all.Flog from the Brisbane board wouldn't be hard to guess saying Aish has no interest in Collingwood as Sharenberg is leaving

What are you talking about, we don't need a forwardline as we have bigshowYea I get that, and that complete annoys me. Treolar? Yes. Aish? No. The kid was good last year, and he could have come with Beams deal, but what's the point now? We have half a decent midfield as it is now, then you add into freeman. Our midfield will be one of the best in the competition by 2017. So I think it's a bit of wasted money to grab Aish.
Plus, everyone would agree that our forward line is probably one of the worst in the league. If Cloke or Elliot doesn't kick a bag each/together- we will lose.
When we were a really good football team(2009-2011): Most of our midfielders kicked 15-25 goals. We"ll get to that stage, but we won't challenge many teams unless we have at least 3 KPF.
Brownflog? What would he know. Can't wait to see the tears when Berg re-signs and Aish leaves.Flog from the Brisbane board wouldn't be hard to guess saying Aish has no interest in Collingwood as Sharenberg is leaving
Which I think is a good idea. Swan will retire eventually and we lost Beams, so we need an A grade mid to play with Pendles - Treloar. Adams, Crisp, Greenwood are good but Treloar is A class and will be for a long time. Aish is a nicety IMO, but we might be trading someone out (that we don't know of here on BF) that the club needs to replace.Going by Reports. We are really going to try and Upgrade our Midfield over the Pre-Season with Hopefully Treloar and Aish being Added

Change that to our first and second to GWS, and the Dogs first for Carlisle or Weidemann.Seedsman and Oxley for Aish.
Witts to the Dogs for their first.
Our first and Doggies first to GWS for Treloar.
Midfield = awesome.
I'm sure he thought pick 5, 25 and Crisp was a bargain tooFlog from the Brisbane board wouldn't be hard to guess saying Aish has no interest in Collingwood as Sharenberg is leaving

It's complicated enough to get deals done now imagine thrashing out deals in trade week concerning picks in over a 2 year period? This will just slow everything even more, I hate it just like the Father/Son rule changes over the last few years!
