Very Well Said

Where are people getting the idea of Moore in the ruck from?

You can't just put people in the ruck because they're tall

Sure you can.. why else did Guy Richards get as many games as he did?

The whole idea of moore in the ruck comes back to the fact we need a backup ruckman if we want a forward line with cloke, moore amd reid. In my opinion that is our best forward line. However, none can ruck and we cant go playing 2 rucks on top of 3 tall forwards.

Thats why white is still structurally important, otherwise we are forced to play witts + grundy.

If the dogs offered there first round selection for Witts then it would seem adequate.

We did after all use pick 14 for Wood and pick 14 for a ruck in his prime in Jolly.

While people may ask why would you even consider trading Witts with the introduction of F/A and future selections it makes it easier now than ever to trade for or draft a ruck man at a later age once all the hard development work has been done by another.

If either Witts or Grundy was your Nic Nat or Blicavs type then it would make sense to keep both but I'm not sure there is enough point of difference between the two for the combination to work into the future.

In that scenario I'd rather Cloke in the ruck tbh.

It all depends how quickly moores body develops. He is still very thin so i wouldnt put him anywhere near the ruck. But if he builds up a lot of the pre season then he has good attributes of a backup ruck. He has a huge leap, long arms and he is competitive.

Plus he can play either end of the field so he could comfortably play behind the ball or follow his opponent defensively.

Whilst height isnt everything, the fact is that he is 2 metres tall so he could definitely ruck in future years. He did it at TAC level.

I'd like to see what Moore and Cloke can do in the ruck for that reason. The most likely structure given Reids injury history is Cloke, Moore, White though. Which I think would be okay. We might need to treat Reid as a Clark Keating style finals surprise weapon. I think Reid is our best deep forward option as he is such s clever lead. Which means you need to know if Cloke or Moore can ruck for 15% game time.

Can't see Moore getting that big after 2 Pre-Season

This thread is trade talk yeh??

We need to start settling on a structure. It affects our trades.

I think this has been a successful year development wise, but my major dissapointment is that I still aam very unclear about our best 22 and best structure.
A very good point.

Has anyone considered white to be a big bodied on-baller?
He's tall, decent third-man up and Blicavs has made a name for himself. He has a decent tank. He might make better decisions, if he's constantly involved. I wouldn't mind him being tried in the centre.

What about an attacking CHB.. we haven't got one of those
