Is anyone else going to be extremely underwhelmed if we land Dunn?

It's not a Sexy Pick but I have Hopes he can hold the Fort Down Until we find something Better Thru the Draft(Have to Develop the Kid) or FA/Trade this time next year
 
I sometimes wonder if Eddie, in 'mouthing off' mode, does us any favours when it comes to trade time. I know he often has a valid point to make, but human nature being what it is, his outbursts could make some clubs (e.g. GWS), less inclined to trade fairly with us.

#1 draft Pick + Buckley loses his job if we finish last.
I wouldn't be too upset about that at this moment in time.

I don't wanna be stereotypical and bag Buckley as much as the next guy but in my eyes he has shown nothing to prove his capabilities as a coach in the last few years.

I don't think it makes much of a difference if the currency is there.

No professional is going to stop something that could be beneficial for their workplace/business just because they don't like the guy who is selling.
That's why they are professionals.

We're not offering up players to clubs and then they're coming back and saying "Oh we like him but we'll only give you pick "X" because of what Eddie McGuire said about us". They are genuinely playing hardball because they have the right to get the best deal for THEIR business. They don't care about us, they don't care about Eddie.

And the same would be for when we are trading to other clubs as well. Except we have had a pretty unlucky year this year with a lot of players 'wanting' to leave. :/

Number 1 draft pick and maybe some future picks from Witts or Frost and a new coach and we COULD get back on track.

Frost won't get us much back, could definitely see a future pick being involved with Witts though especially if clubs are having a hard time giving us something decent in this draft.

Would settle on a late 2nd/early 3rd rounder this year + early second rounder next year for Witts.
Still fairly young but definitely not raw, has AFL experience, is a giant, and plays in a position that isn't necessarily in abundance due to the height needed to become a ruckman. Theoretically his stock should be fairly high. And let's face it, he isn't a BAD player. Could do a very serviceable job for a bottom 8 team like Richmond or Carlton ;)

I know, that's why I used the word underwhelmed and not disappointed.

Normally I would have said that I would have been disappointed, even to the point of being upset, if we got a player like Dunn.
But it's true, there's nobody else better and we're extremely unlucky that 3 defenders have decided to leave in the same year.

If we land him (looking likely) - I'll be bitter but there's a sense of (What else could we do?) about it.

How's his kicking skills? If he can kick at least 30 metres out of our backline and actually hit a player on the chest and not kick it backwards or kick it to the guy in row Z, I'll take him!
