It is indicated that Rockliff's team-mates have issues with him. It is rumoured that Marley's team-mates have issues with him. It is not all about form. Sometimes it is easier to trade out if possible
Trading is one thing, de-listing is another! But I think you're probably right about there being more to the Williams situation than those of us on the outside are aware of.

But what if its 10% more and you have to find a way to spend a shitload more to draftees just so you meet the mandatory 95% of the cap? (or whatever the mandatory is)

They can't expect clubs to pay the correct amount of the cap without actually telling clubs what that is.... Surely.

True. Though, I read recently that clubs have been working on the assumption that it will increase. I'm assuming his point is not to go to much over the current cap, because we don't know what it will be yet.

This is ridiculous if true!!
Clubs should know at least a year in advance what the new cap will be for this exact reason.....
God damn the AFL is amateur compared to American sport!

CLOSE TO DUNN

Lynden Dunn's manager, Marty Pask, is confident a trade sending the Demons defender to Collingwood will be settled in the next 24 hours. Here's what he told NAB AFL Trade Radio.

He's met with Collingwood, he's had his medical, and both parties are in talks to try and get something done. There may be a swap of picks or a clean pick at the back end of the draft. Collingwood are just waiting at the moment with a few things they're doing.

What is Holding our Trades Up?

Given this uncertainty is resulting from the CBA negotiations it is as much the players responsibility as the AFL's and this often is the same when there are CBA negotiations in North American sports.

Mate just heard Lyons and 53 for 44.
Then 53 for Witts.
Hahaha Witts you absolute Plodder.

I would've thought it would be:

Adelaide out: Lyons
Adelaide in: Hawthorn player of equivalent value/ability

Gold Coast out: O'Meara
Gold Coast in: Pick 10, Lyons, 48

Hawthorn out: 10, 48, player to Adelaide.
Hawthorn in: O'Meara

It was rumoured that Gold Coast wanted a player from Hawthorn but no one wanted to go there. Surely there'd be a greater chance of someone wanting to go from Hawthorn to a Adelaide given that the Crows are a red-hot chance for top 4 next year.
