List Mgmt. Collingwood Trade Talk 2016 Part 4 - The Final Day: Sailing into the abyss ...

Can we keep outgoing players stuff off here Dave? It's hard enough knowing that our premiership CHF won't be playing for us next year without you plastering his photo on here in a Bulldogs jumper.

Can't believe we coughed up such a good pick for Hoskin-Elliott, especially when it seems that there were fire sales everywhere you looked. The guy is 5 seasons in and achieved precious little, apparently didn't even dominate in the NEAFL. Clearly we didn't drive a hard bargain for any of Cloke, Witts, Frost or Williams. Very disappointing day.

This whole trade period has been very unlike Hine. He seemed rattled after the whole thing was done. I think he's used to having complete control at trade time, and there were quite a few moves that were made that had somebody else's fingerprints on them.

Didn't People Say Allan was the One Making the Descions?

I think there are some massive over-reactions going on in this board.

I suspect too many posters got their hopes up for getting ridiculous offers for lowly skilled players that we wanted to dump.

The only player I'm upset about losing is Marsh (if we do).

I'm rapt with getting WHE. Rate him highly and we paid a fair price.

If we can use 28 on a kid then the points to our father/sons later then things work out.

We paid way overs for WHE, if you compare the going rate of players in this trade period and what they cost in draft picks we paid overs.

anyone else here think pies should look at bringing back dawes on 1 year deal on minimum wages? mainly because i foresee one of reid or keefe to miss time due to an injury which could send white to the backline, thus making moore and cox as as our two main tall fwds. How about we use dawes in the goal square, and have cox and moore move around and allow them to use their athleticism .

Agree on Witts but he was contracted and didn't want to leave. This is where some power balance needs to be brought in.
Should have told him if he stayed he'd just play VFL behind Grundy. I reckon we gave him the idea that the ruck spot was still up for grabs.

Relieved we kept greenwood and oxley for that matter....stoked i dont have to see that flog marley williams pull on the B&W again!! And put up with his mongrel punts....pick 105 bargain...see ya marley you absolute tosser

Now tell us what you really think..... A little harsh, but by the end of this season most of us were getting tired of his turnovers..

Then we shouldn't have lifted our bid. There's every chance that he will simply never make it, let alone to be a good player. Aside from ruckmen, and perhaps the odd key position player, you generally know the capabilities of a player after they've played 5 seasons.

There's also every chance he will come in and be a star, most people happy for 2Nd rd pick before trade week

I agree that Marley is no great loss as a footballer, but why the hostility towards the man? Did he give you a whack?

And after all that Greenwood is still on our list ffs

Until i saw this photo i thought we failed this trade period.

Thank god thats over. I never have to worry that someone is going to kick it to this bloke within 20 meters of goal again.

Thanks for the laughs Clokie!
We've still got White lol.
