No harm in giving him 12 months to clear his head and reassess.Marsh will be delisted. No point keeping him if he doesn't want to be in vic.
4, 6, 8 & 10.
Puts it in to perspective really. People said we sold the farm last year for Treloar, Aish and Howe, but at the end of the day we still managed to retain our second rounder and a few more in the 3rd/4th round. For those complaining about our draft position....
lol, weird OPUmmmmm they got OMeara and Mitchell I would take that.
We traded overs for 1 player and the consensus on that before trade period was a second Rd pick nothing changed... If gws was happy for 77 for Stewart, essendon can have him as he was not rated at all...Horrible trade period for us.
We give away players for free and pay through the nose for everyone we get.
They have done well. Lets hope they stuff up the drafting again.
Sad thing is pretty much every other team has something good to talk about. Our trade period was just so meh.
No harm in giving him 12 months to clear his head and reassess.
I just thought at least Wells and Mayne were free agents. Then I remembered how much we're paying Mayne
Levity?Overall that was a complete letdown. There actually wasn't a single trade where I can reflect on us walking away with a good outcome. All our deals had a kicker.
Wells good player, but the contract a bit of a worry with his injury history.
Mayne an ok role player that we gave a bonkers deal to.
WHE yes he has talent, but limited production 5 years in.
Dunn just a goer who offers much the same as Brown.
No move on a KPF, no move to upgrade selections and no real clarity from Hine when interviewed as he was leaving. Given where we currently sit the person I feel most for is Buckley because he needed a sideways trade period like a hole in the head.
I eagerly await the usual suspects coming in to spin the positives. It should provide some brevity at least
OUT: Swan (v.sadly) Toovey Macaffer Brown Witts Frost Williams Gault Goodyear Marsh(?)
IN: Wells Mayne WHE Dunn Daicos Brown & draft punts
RETURNING FROM INJURY: Scharenberg Elliott Ramsay Langdon
CONCLUSION: 2017 playing stocks vastly improved on 2016
Ok thenMost other teams seemed to to have coped.
Even if it meant giving up your top 2 players in the process for nothing in addition to the trade cost?Ummmmm they got OMeara and Mitchell I would take that.
Because the players we brought it in will struggle to get the ball.Because Cloke and Frost and Brown and Witts get so many possessions?
Sends a clear message to the playing group.
lol, weird OP
You mean the Palmer that was selected ahead of Will Hoskin-Elliott in the preliminary final, who we just paid a second round pick for?
That Palmer?
Levity?
