I’m quite nervous about this one. We should win, and that’s why I’m nervous. They’re a really good side, we need to be switched on from the opening bounce. It’s going to be a tight one… again.
Me too.
I think it's because I don't want the fun to end!
It's been quite a ride this year, and so enjoyable.

Nervous as hell about this one. We need to take every chance.
Checkers with a dodgy hip and De Goey with a taped up shoulder. Just hoping for some luck.

Feel like we’ve got this. And if memory serves, it was wet v Dockers last meeting which worked in our favour.

Going to the game with my Freo mate. Should be nice and hostile for him at the G 😂.

Winner gets the booby prize of playing Sydney in Sydney which is probably end of the line for whoever wins today. But considering we finished 17th last year, to even make a prelim would be a tremendous achievement.

In Fly we trust. Go Pies!

Cannot wait to be making my way to the G later today with my son.
This is going to be a tough game to win, as we saw last night, you can never discount the opposition, despite thinking that everything may be in your favour to win the match.
Hopefully the rain stays away, and we can play our normal quick transition game, and we don't get sucked into playing Freo's kick and mark uncontested game, otherwise we could be in a bit of bother.
We did completely outplay them in Perth earlier in the season, in the wet too, so we just need to repeat that effort, and we will get to a Prelim, which would be unbelievable for this team.
90% Collingwood crowd, should make it as uncomfortable for Freo as possible. They will look to come out for a fast start, and get early scoreboard pressure on us, to quieten the crowd, so we need to be ready for that.
I want to see better games from Mihocek, Ginnivan, Elliott and McCreery up forward. Freo don't score huge, so if these guys can do their bit, we should get the win. Pies by 17 points...

Whatever happens, it has been an amazing, thrilling year, which has massively exceeded all our rational predictions and wildest dreams.

It has been the most fun I’ve had as a 40-year supporter other than 2010-2011. I genuinely feel like we’re in bonus territory now, with little pressure on us. Let’s have a crack and see what happens!

Go Pies!

I think rain actually suits us more than them, as evidenced by our win over there in the wet during the season.

They like a lot of uncontested marks, good luck controlling the ball in the wet, against our immense pressure.

Bring it on.

In their defence, there are currently supply chain issues resulting in a lack of cheeseboards at the G. It’s also been an unusually good snow season.

I think many of them stayed home and stared in mourning at their pictures of the Queen hung proudly on the wall above their fireplaces, drinking a Pimms and eating strawberries and cream.

Forecast is for lots of rain in the coming weeks in Sydney, so the winner of today will likely play the Swans in the wet.

My biggest concern is who tags Rosebury and Stevic?
Meant to write this last week, but am surprised no-one has mentioned the Scott bros influence on umpiring decisions, or slight bias / exploiting changing rule interpretations to aid Geelong. I’d wage a fair amount that after some of their chats / agreed conclusions, Brad instructed umpires to pay less frees to the tackler (us / pressure teams disadvantaged) and that Ginni’s tactics don’t deserve to be rewarded. Etc etc. those two are as thick as thieves and have always admitted they talk regularly. Cats getting an advantage from how to exploit interpretations - along with the running influence Brad has on umpiring decisions…

Rosebury/Stevic, so factoring in 66 and 2/3 percent of tonight's officials, the scoreboard currently reads Freo 3 0 18 Pies 0 0 0. This information was obtained from the "Fairness Gods", who advised that last week's true result was Collingwood 10 12 72, Pivotonians 8 12 60

Have to agree. Always thought we were in danger of straight sets, but we held up well last week. No adams and Mihocek in average form doesn’t help though. Some of our lesser known players really need to stand up today. Can’t have any passengers in finals…
