If I recall correctly I think our win in the "wet" against Fremantle has been overstated and we actually got further on top as the weather cleared and the ground started to dry out after 1/4 time.

While constant showers shouldn't suit any team from WA obviously I still feel a drier track suits our transition game better than any 4 quarter slog in the wet given that stoppage clearance and contested ball hasn't been our one wood this season.

A bit of dampness under foot and a greasy ball however should be the sweet spot and suit our pressure game more than their desire to possess the ball.
MCG has really good drainage. So would have to be absolutely pouring down to effect us under foot. Unless not wearing long stops.

IF we lose tonight and go out in Straight Sets it's kind of mean the Regular Season did not really mean much
Disagree, Dave.

The joy in footy is the journey, not the destination. Don’t get me wrong, premierships are the result that matters, but as a spectator, season 2022 has been an unbelievable success, regardless of the result.

There's a bit of an old wives' tale about WA teams not being used to the rain. It pours here in winter. Days upon day. The Freo boys get out in the rain for training, I'm sure. The only difference is mud...in the old days, vic grounds had mud and there's no mud in WA.

I get that. Was a Great Regular Season but to me it seems bit of a Waste for not winning at least 1 Finals Game

For me it has been an amazing season Dave, and anything in finals is just an added bonus. I get what you mean mate, but we have exceeded all expectations this year, we have landed a fantastic coach and our recent recruiting seems on point. It was a fairytale home and away season that I will cherish, topped off by the final round: knocking our arch nemesis out of the 8 in a nail biter to finish top 4.

Na sorry Dave can't agree

Coming from where we were to where we finished its been a great ride, heart damaging, but a great season

Need to win this one at all costs, nothing worse than a straight sets exit.

Finishing 17th?

Falling short of finals contention by 1 point on the scoreboard and 0.6% points on the ladder?

The main reason I would not want to lose tonight is I do not want that prick Cornes to be proven correct in any way shape or form and I do not think we will lose but it will be great to stick it up that arseh*le that is something to look forward too.

Pretty sure Cornes tipped us to win?

It was Ross Lyon who tipped Freo - and given he was their last coach we can let him have that.

Going to the Tote tonight to see X and the Maggie Pills play. Booked it week's ago. 3 of us all mad pies blokes...
I reckon we'll be on our phones a bit.
I also reckon the support band name is a good omen!

C’mon TD, you serious man?!?

Week after week of nail biting games, nearly 3 month winning streak.

Watching us get plenty of quality matches into the young players.

Got the mojo back into the club.

Hopefully undoing the salary cap issues.

Still playing right up to trade period.

This year has been one of our better years in my viewing lifetime.

What a journey and hopefully can build on it next year no matter the outcome tonight.
