thats why you now have clubs like colonwood magically turn into 100,000 member clubs overnight cos they give away a tonne of free memberships that are counted in the tally

they couldn't do it in 2019 coming off a 1 point grand final loss but magically did it last year after coming off a terrible season in 21

Richmond is the only club to get 100,000 (5 years in a row with the $50 afl limit in place)

on another note, carlton do buy one get one frees, buy one get 3 free, and now they are giving away $100,000 dollars if they get 100,000 members this year. minnows

Early season pies look like they have continued on from last year. Haven't missed a beat.
Outdoing us at Richmondy football.
Broad out. We liked a very tall back line last year and had gibcus for Grimes. Which make me wonder if we go Miller for Broad.
. I'm thinking maybe not with Ryan now back up ruck. I hope he gets a huge run of games. To work out if he is JR replacement material.


Hugo, Banks, Mansell all possiblity in the backline.
Ross and Sonsie in the middle and Clarke and Cumberland up fwd..
I'd like to get a game into banks. If he spuds up. Hugo

We are not rebuilding, seems we are pushing forward.I watched the VFL side and Biggie was marking everything, is he a chance at all to come in?Collingwood play our way and have yet to reach the pinnacle of a premiership,we have 3 in the cupboard and fighting for some more while we still have part of our premiership players still there.Daicos boys are exciting to watch with Shorty out who goes with them? I would like to see Mansell in for Short he is a tough player and not so easily pushed off the ball.Should be a good game the start of a hard 4 weeks.

Reigning premier? As in the Pies beat the Cats. Reckon the Cats are starting slow to finish fast - again.

Anyway, my point is that if we bring the heat the Pies style might fail. Like our did in similar circumstances sometimes. If we don't bring it for 4 quarters then I reckon we will lose.

Seems like we have a lot of injuries. great for opportunities for kids (Banks). But sucks for this game.

Learn this arvo if Hops and Dusty are playing and if we have any chance at all. I reckon both play.

It’s a long season. Dusty missed 10-weeks with a hammy last year. Hopper has a 7-year deal. I reckon Dusty is 1% chance of playing and Hopper 2%.

Round 4 we hopefully bring them both back in at 100%.

If we lose, we avoid the early season hype that will put the players in the media spotlight. Let the Pies carry the favourite tag and extra scrutiny. We’ve got 6 points on the board from 2 rounds, at this stage losing to the form side of the comp in round 3 is not so bad. We’ll learn a lot from the game and have things to improve on as the season progresses.

If we win, well, we deliver those feral campaigners the reality check they deserve, on Friday night in front of 90k people.
