Blockbuster game and huge crowd you would think.

Collingwood has 6 in row.

Bombers 4 of the last 5.

Collingwood win they are on their way to cementing top 2.

Bombers win they can potentially leap 4-5 teams and back into eight.

Two genuine fast paced teams expecting a high scoring end to end game.

Who do you think will win?

It won't be a bruise free game like it was yesterday, and we have previously seen this season how soft the Bombers are when put under any kind of physical pressure.
Honestly i am not overly concerned about this game, the Bombers soft midfield will crumble under the pressure and the Pies should run away with it.

Essendon probably will; Collingwood looked tired. However I have learnt not to underestimate the magpies this year. They have a bulldogs feel to them.

When i looked at the season fixture i thought our start was pretty soft (adel and port in vic, some lower ranked teams), and the patch post-Carlton looked like it could be a tough slog.
5/6 is a great stat, undone by a pathetic start to the season.

Saw the pies dismantle melbourne on the Queens Bday.
Reckon we're in for a high scoring game.

Its a shame Treloar and Daniher aren't out there.

We are thin. Seriously thin.
We’ll go into the game with Mayne, Mihocek, Daicos, Appleby, Sier (and someone else who will have to replace Dunn). It’s great getting games into some youth, but no Treloar, Moore, Elliott, Dunn, Wells, Reid, Varcoe, Aish is cutting it too thin.
We’ve struggled with Carlton & looked average for a half v Gold Coast of late.
It’s going to be a very tough game for us.

It's a shame Treloar, Dunn, Moore, Reid, Elliott, Wells, Fasolo, Aish, Goldsack, Varcoe, Broomhead and Greenwood aren't out there. We have lost a player for the season in each of our last three games. Pendlebury will probably be next. We are hanging on by our fingernails. Mihocek will go back. We are out of key position players.

Have another think. Look at our outs and ins. You should win. You are on a roll and we are waning. No team can continue to lose key players and keep winning against good opposition.
Nah we used magic to beat North. We're no chance, just ask Snake_Baker

a lot of Essendon players are finding form right now: Fantasia, Tippa, McKernan, Stringer, Bellchambers, Heppell, Merrett, McKenna, McGrath.... reckon we can outrun the Pies next week.

That soft midfield has been driven by pressure over the last two months and has won the clearances, contested possessions, tackles and pressure acts most weeks. You'd best hope your team doesn't go in with the same opinion.

5 of the last 6 now.

Should we beat Collingwood, we then have Gold Coast (A) followed by Freo at home.

Collingwood by 30 points.

Very wet conditions expected on Sunday and the game will be a very different scenario compared to the one against North Melbourne.

Their stronger midfield and small forwards will get them home.
