The dons attack is good enough but they'll need to work on the defensive aspect of the game.

I'm thinking, they will take a lot of belief out of yesterday's game and come out firing.

If they get the first couple, they'll be unstoppable.

Oh.

That was our only advantage?

What about the umpiring advantage and divine intervention you were banging on about? Realised we didn't have those advantages?

dont forget the soft underbelly the meatgrinder was going to feed on. Looks like it choked.

I’m not understanding why there is hype around this game tbh. If Dons win, it’s because they played Collingwood’s reserves team. If Pies win, they still ‘haven’t beaten anyone in the top 8’.
Early 2010, we beat nobody, nobody lost the game.

This is different though, seriously BF we are running out of players, so say what you want about that but you have to admit our strucfures are pretty ****ing good to hold up.

Two big clubs, one of whom has won five straight and the other has won four of its past five. So yeah, there’s gonna be a bit of hype, it’s just how it works. The wider world doesn’t care about boring bigfooty narratives.

Pies by 10 goals. Solidify top 4. Take care of the Tiges in September! Now for the real truth. The Pies have hit the wall. This would be obvious to all had the Pies not been gifted post bye games against lowly Blues & Suns. The bye has screwed with a lot of teams. It kills momentum, and I wish it didn't exist. If you think the Dees without Lever are a basketcase, wait till you see the Pies without Dunn. Remember how immature and disorganised the Pies defence was in the years BD (Before Dunn)? Well there'll be more of that. Maybe Reid can right the ship, but he won't be seen for another month. Can Mihocek fill the void in the short term? Who knows. Maynard will have to kick out. Sink that big left boot into it. This is the 5th consecutive season derailed by injuries, and there's a very real chance the Pies will miss the finals again. Can we deal with it? Are we side by side this time, or are we gonna hang the coach again? 14 wins gets you in. Where do the Pies find 4 more wins? Not this weekend. Hopefully they can find a way to scrounge victories against WC, Port & Lions (all at the G), and Freo over in Perth. The players deserve reward for effort this year. I hope they make it. They've proved me wrong all year, so take all of this with a grain of salt. I predict a five goal win to the Bombers, and another $2000 fine to Tommy Bell for throwing his fists around. You're not fooling anybody Tom, you big girl. Brody's gonna **** you up. Don't even bother coming. Find something else to do that day. Go to BD&M and chose yourself a shorter name. There. That did the trick. Now I'm psyched for Sunday. Pies by 10 goals. Not many people know this, but Amon Woulfe, the Collective Minds guru who led the Crows astray, released an album a few years ago, and I think he would be perfect grand final entertainment. Don't take my word for it. Here's the world's greatest bullshit artist performing one of his own compositions:

It won't be a bruise free game like it was yesterday, and we have previously seen this season how soft the Bombers are when put under any kind of physical pressure.
Honestly i am not overly concerned about this game, the Bombers soft midfield will crumble under the pressure and the Pies should run away with it.
Have you watched Essendon the last 6 weeks? Or have you been stuck in your cloud of hype?

I’d tip Essendon but worried we have too many injuries.

Do the pies have any injuries, does anybody know?
Yep we’ve got a fair few actually, thanks for your enquiry. Shall I list them all for you? Perhaps in response you could list all the teams we’ve beaten this year, and point out those in the top 8 and otherwise.

And that is why you will win this game despite missing some players. Treloar, Reid and Dunn the really important ones.

Defence has been solid the last 6 weeks or so, most teams last round seemed willing to play an open style of game with the drawback being having to expose their defence at times.

Funny old round & great to watch.

If they continue kicking them out of their arse from all angles, the Bombers will win.
