From the Murray Bushrangers, it seems: Toby Murray
He was named to play in the Young Guns side against Vic Country U18 recently:

Thomas Roberts is another new name. It looks like they've noticed they're a bit short on ruckmen! He played for the Dandenong Stingrays in 2016-17: Tom Roberts
I'm not sure where he plays these days.
Awaiting an apology from the guy who bagged me yesterday on here for suggesting we get some new bigs in to the VFL team.
Turns out I am not the idiot he suggested

We certainly need someone there. Just a mature type who can play full-time ruck, and ideally let Begg play up forward or be trialled down back. I presume Toby Murray will only be able to play a game or two before heading back to the Murray Bushrangers, but the other chap (Roberts) is 23 and maybe we've been able to sign him up mid-year?

That’s 8 senior listed players again this week. Assume McInnes, Ruscoe, Poulter, Begg and Henry have all traveled to Perth.

Good to see Draper and Harrison back.

Nice to see we’ve found a few ruck height types in Roberts, Drake, and Murray.

Why does the VFL team have a bye for the second time in 3 weeks? They also have another bye in a few weeks time.

This happens in the VFL. Baffling to say the least. Something to do with the arcane science of scheduling a footy fixture with too many teams based in far flung places - so that it is ‘fair’ and ‘balanced’.🤨

Well at least the last one lines up with a AFL bye round. Previous years have had the VFL team play on the AFL bye week and throw everything around.

What gets clearly missed by the AFL is the 2nds is supposed to be a development comp for the AFL clubs. They are to busy trying to make it the old VFA and completely ****ing over the AFL clubs development process.

205cm 112kg Roberts certainly has the size. We need more ruck depth in the twos currently, but perhaps the other possibility is we’re trialling a couple of these players with a view towards the 2023 VFL season or less likely the mid season draft. We trialled Dowling for a game in ‘21 and he was VFL listed in ‘22.

What they have done is completely ***** over the old VFA Clubs. The 2 should never have been merged.

Magnificent conditions at Skybus Arena today.
No excuses for either group of players not to perform.
A couple of the fill ins are massive boys
Madge out there working with defenders in warm ups
