It was a good game for us from an AFL perspective. The three pushing for selection all played their role well.

Agree. If not out of necessity, he also played well from what I've read. I didn't watch the match.
It was the most AFL style game I've seen from him. He was playing higher up the ground and just looked like a really good medium forward who could offer a bit of everything.

Like many, it’s not how many they get at VFL level but what they do with them. Mccreery wasn’t racking them up, nor HH but have both shown the level required. Reef was very damaging with his touches.

For my own sanity I’m trying to find comparisons between him and Allan to have belief Allan can make it

Yep, the coaches obviously look at different things than supporters do. They don't care about how many stats they get.

You can see the composure Harvey has under pressure for example, which is what Fly & the coaches would be looking at. It's why players like Wilba are so highly valued. Not big accumulators, but they know exactly what to do when the game needs to be won or a momentum shift is needed.

I have absolutely zero hope that our VFL team will be playing in September to help keep everyone match fit for seniors if needed.

Had a Good Start but been Shit since the Bye

VFL is too quick for Allan. I don't like his chances.

I agree re: trying Allan off half back. Just to get him involved

Seems lost in the Midfield at the Moment

Can use his Pace more down back

He needs to develop power in his game. Looks a bit pedestrian. Blake Acres was a bit like him but in the last couple of years, he's added power and a bit of burst. If Ed can get his body anywhere near that, then he'll make it. He's going to need a massive pre season if he really wants it bad enough.

Hope you're right. Once he is physically awesome things may change. He might develop the confidence, but at the moment he just gets cheapies and then just panic handballs forward without looking when under any pressure.

Those handballs are killing me. He cost us a goal today with a fumble, then almost cost us another with a panic handball to nobody in their goal square.

It was a dog day for him, and in fairness he’s been ok, he we just expect more after last year. His first few games last year looked really good, was running, kicking goals from 50.

Don’t know what’s going on atm.

Didn’t watch the game yet but I’m guessing Demattia struggled again
Very much so. Didn’t really get near it.

Allan being in his second season was the biggest let down.

Outside of that, the ones we wanted to play well did. Macrae, reef, Richard’s took his chances.

Lots were missing today though which showed . And Ryan did something in the warm up pretty sure. He didn’t play
