Call me old fashioned, but it's ludicrous to judge a draft after just 11 games.

If Powell continues on and improves no more than 25% from his current form over a 200+ game career the rest of the selections could literally spontaneously combust and I'd still rate 2020 as an A.

Edit: BTW, nothing against Logan, he might be a lovely guy but I'd happily push the kid off a cliff and never have to hear his name again right now. I'm sick of reading 12 year old footy card analysis of his missed selection. Plus, Sydney are s**tstain of a club so he's probably already turned evil if he wasn't already.

they should play him immediately, after their bye, against GWS. And that would be one almighty initiation for Jacob Edwards, playing against Shane Mumford in an AFL debut.

completely ridiculous is what it is and just shows what a peanut he is, look at tim english for example, played a big series of games in the VFL of which one against williamstown was knocked out cold before building strength and ability to play AFL. and rush him in for what exactly? we have goldy and soup chopping him put atm in the ruck, if anything you might try him in the fwd line for a taste.

Ok - so I think I get this. It is in fact a MASSIVE dig against the way our club used the mid season draft.

I read a separate headline suggesting that now the MSD had been used in the wrong spirit - it should be scrapped.

I think what **** knuckle is implying is "they should HAVE TO play him immediately"

the feeling being that MSD is to top up on missing skills to get through a season and give people a chance to play when clubs have injury gaps etc. And North has somehow gotten a cheap first rounder not a top-up.

It's genuinely quite funny that he seemingly has no idea what a sliding door moment actually is. Every now and again I'll read the entire page and it's not an exaggeration to say that half of them are spiteful digs at people. It really is quite pathetic.

Everyone would have taken Tilthorpe after JUH. Clearly the top picks. They overlooked everyone for Tilthorpe and we would have too.
After that was when tough choices were really made as things evened out a lot and teams had to make some tougher calls.
