Either way it's a win win. If Richmond take him then we didn't overpay for a 'nice to have' player, and if they don't take him then we get him for nothing.
I legitimately don't want Baker. I think he's a handy player, but he's too old for our list IMO.

I’d rather keep Carlton’s
They seem very brittle. Hawks are on the way up and if add Battle and Barrass……

agree, Hawks w Barrass are a top 4 side. Mitchell has spoken openly about their need for a good key back in the past which is why I'm confident they'll do what they need to to get the deal done.

Carlton F1 is more valuable

I don't mind having Baker, in fact I think he will really bring some value to us in regards to training standards, work ethic etc on top of being a better than average player. But we do not need to overpay as has been discussed.

Hawthorn is likely laying groundwork to get a top 10 pick to give us for Barrass.

That would be pretty cool if possible. Would probably have to be Saints second R1. Would take that happily.

Been a slow week for the journos, so they are doing their best to sensationalise the Hawk's trading their pick. "Hawks lost patience", "Hawks blow up the trade period", "You snooze you lose", "Opens the door for Baker to Freo", "Ramifications".

The reality I suspect is that the Barrass and Baker deals remain likely and the pick trade is a step further in that direction.

Hawthorn want Barrass and chased him hard

Incumbent upon them to get a deal done

Who knows what that looks like but for now we’ve rejected an unsuitable offer which is a good thing

We were never going to turn Barrass into just Baker

Had we got 14 that's all Richmond wouldve accepted. Can't give it to them if we don't have it...

Uhh great take alert?

Ralph realising his Richmond bias had him blinded in real time is quite something

Uhh great take alert?

Someone hacked Ralph’s twitter account surely

No way he comes up with that by himself

I feel sick that I’m in furious agreement with him
