The only way he leaves is if the Dockers offer him more years than us. He isn't uprooting his family and his two special needs kids. I suspect this is a play from his management to spook the Eagles into getting a quick deal done.

I'm fine with this going either way tbh.
**** that Kelly needs to be phased out of our midfield. Biggest 1 way runner in our team.
Go to the dockers

Hough is tracking very much like early career yeo .

Yeo was a taller lock down defender on smalls at his time in Brisbane. Then became a running HBF then midfield.

Give hough more attacking role next season then deploy him in the midfield 2026 with stracivich taking the lock down role
Absolutely agree. Starcevich would take Hough’s role and free Hough up to be more creative. Have covered it before but some really good FAs available next year. Would be interested to know why Phil doesn’t rate TKD. Those two and Farrell would be a great off season even before the draft.

Truth be told I’d send him this year for Freo’s F1 and Knobel.
Yeah id do it too. I dont think hes that important to the side in a rebuild, and hes not really a leader.
Hes another Bolton type imo, just a little bit more of a mid than a forward

I’d personally go to Tim’s place. Make him some crumpets with butter because Tim looks like a crumpets guy. I’d make sure his coffee is made just the way he likes it. I’ll freshly squeeze some OJ too. After breakfast I’d give him a hand packing his bags, he will need some extra space for all the Fremantle gear I bought him so can’t pack by himself. I’d then order him a Uber Comfort to Fremantle Oval and wave him goodbye

Future 2nd plus Knobel with us covering a big part of Tim’s wages.

Would prefer to keep TK - on much less coin though, so if another club is going to offer him more then he may as well take it. I'm just thinking ahead to the end of 2025 when Sheed likely retires and Yeo's groins have evaporated into a fine dust, TK would have value as a senior midfield rotation. Fact of the matter is - we still don't have any genuine midfield prospects not named Harley Reid apart from the idea of Hewett.

I can’t see him leaving unless we bring a solid mid in.

But if he gets $800k for 4 years elsewhere, he is goneski.

He would be destructive at a club where he isn’t the main inside mid. I’m thinking hawks again :p

Port now have cash given free agents decided not to come.

Kelly played with injury most of the season , fit and healthy in 2025 and a new coach anything could happen, leave him in the forward half more .
Keep Kelly .
Depends how he plays this year and what he may fetch in a trade. Hes 31 next year, a decent pick could be worth more than 2 years of Kelly.

I can't see tk wanting out that's Rorylobb areas, surely. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say maybe its his manager trying to squeeze another hundred k out of the club with the new salary cap increases. If we are being honest, waterman and yeos managers put some mayo on to get better deals (I reckon barass tried and failed and now tk is having a crack?)

You guys have zero loyalty to players , family wise Kelly won't be leaving Perth so back him in .
Sent to a flailing midfield past few years and done more then okay .

His kids would be 5 years older. Broadly you need less help from family.

Plus money talks. We aren’t going to offer him a 3-4 year deal.

Fairly certain his kids are special needs, think that was the big driver coming back to Perth for family assistance.

Massive word salad of nothingness.

Its scary though Pyke + list manager havnt spoken about our trade period given we are like 3 days away from it existing. What the hell have they been doing the last 3 months?

What would we give up to get Warner? If he wants out end of next then why not try and push this now?

The club is working on Warner but it's very unlikely to happen this year as Swans won't trade him and he won't request an early move. We'll be front of the queue though.

Plus, it would only be for a couple of years and then he can spend the rest of his life in Perth. Hell, if I was making over $500,000 a year, I’d pay for a couple of relatives to come with me for the adventure and to help with the kids.
