At a minimum.
Out of that list Edwards, Jamieson, Gaff and Rotham are contracted and I don't think they will delist them.

I hope it will be something like this.

Retire

Hurn
Shuey

Delist

If Gov hasn't signed yet, I would either trade him or give him 1 year extensions with clauses.

I suspect people will be paying well to watch the Sheezel and Wardlaw show for years. Ginbey will be solid as in Ro Jones - but we have nobody for him to block for. Priddis was a Rookie Pick.
You dont go to an auction with a wad and buy Holden's when Ferraries are in the same price range,

Ginbey will be good and a reliable inside midfielder but yeah I think he’s very limited and doesn’t have great footballing smarts

We need Hewett to be good as well to justify that trade

I don't care if they're under contract. Pay them out they're useless and clogging up the list

Barnett is a 19 yo tall in his first season. Give him time, he’ll come good.
People say this, yet if we want above average to elite AFL players they produce from year one.
Bic Nat & Williams are ahead yes but he should be pushing them for a spot now and next year, with his 3rd year ready to come in and play AFL every week with a few substitutions thrown in there.

Sorry for the intrusion guys but I am actually genuinely keenly interested in your coming off season.

The likelihood is your going to have the number 1 pick.

Harley Reid is going to be the number 1 pick
You guys have multiple positional problems that one midfielder isn't going to solve.

I believe there are multiple teams that would give up significant draft capital to land that number 1 draft pick
Just this years 1st round draft picks alone as they currently stand
GWS 4,5 (probably wouldn't bat an eyelid at a deal treat draft picks like candy)
NM 3,16 (Although Sheezel and Wardlaw look good probably want something to say JHF who)
Melb 9,15 ( Don't think a deal can be done in isolation)
WB 14,18 ( Don't think a deal can be done in isolation)

I'm not entirely sure what a trade for the #1 pick looks like but if there is ever a year to finish last and potentially maximize value on a rebuild this is the year for it to happen and if worst case is you just draft Harley Reid then that's not so bad

I'd want at least 2 bites in the top 5, with one of them being #2, if we were to trade 1.

Would like to see someone get Rhino to make an opinion piece on The Worst or on Twitter and call out the league and certain Vic Metro draftees (doesn't have to name them though) about not wanting to move out from Victoria as it has to be a form of draft tampering.

Perkins and Bazlenka apparently told interstate teams to not draft them (I'm sure they would've fu*cked off after a year and go to Vic ASAP if an interstate team drafted them anyways), JHF fu*ked off after a year (North had to do the trade and get picks 2 & 3 otherwise they'll get a lesser deal once his contract expires), Sheezel and Wardlaw apparently didn't want to move hence why GWS pulled the trigger and traded up to get Cadman. Now Reid seems reluctant to move judging from his answer and body language from the Gettable podcast.

I reckon if we took either Sheezel or Wardlaw I think they'll give it a shot for two years and then request a trade to Victoria once homesickness comes into the fold. Depending on the team, the VIC club they nominate may have to pay up less or more than market value for them so it's a gamble the club cannot afford to make since we may get shafted like with the Kelly trade as in getting unders and even risk losing them for NOTHING in the PSD provided that Vic team finishes last and they nominate that spoon Vic team so they can hold us to absolute ransom in us getting paid unders thus we cannot play hardball otherwise it's PSD.

I would like to see the league increase first year contracts to four years with the first three years you CANNOT request a trade except under extreme circumstances such as having a terminally ill family member or a natural disaster in their home cities. They also cannot get mental health doctor certificates and use that as an excuse. I know mental health is a serious issue but players who want to move early can easily rort the system by consistently getting mental health certificates thus making the proposed rules useless. There also needs to be a sign on retention bonus that's significant and that's outside the salary cap to entice youngsters to staying.

As bad as it is to have a spoon stained in the club's name, this is the best year to finish last and have the number one pick so the club can hold a Vic team to ransom especially if it's clear Reid doesn't want to leave Victoria. Either Melbourne or GWS are the candidates (I think Reid should be ok going to GWS as it's closer to visit family then going to Perth). It maybe tempting to include North but with the midfield they got, they may shoot up the ladder next year. I think we're better off dealing with GWS as there's a chance Melbourne and even Freo to finish higher thus reducing their picks.

Things do change in unexpected ways so I'll hold off my potential draft and trade strategies once the GF is over.
Bailey Smith told teams he didn’t want to be drafted interstate.

James Worpel didn’t want to move. Neither did Tanner Bruhn. Or Ben Hobbs.

We don’t even hear the true extent about how many kids don’t want to move interstate.

I know the Brisbane recruiters have put together a template that includes off field and on field traits for draftees. Really shortens down our list of potential draftees each year.

Pick the right player/s, and their whole family ends up moving interstate. Then you don’t have to worry about the go home factor any more.

First Buckley, now this

I think North Melbourne could come into the play here

Step 1. Trade pick 1 to North for 3 and 16
Step 2. Trade next year first pick to GS for picks 4 & 5
Step 3. Trade Gaff and 38. Plus pay 50% salary to St Kilda for pick 31 (they might take the punt)

Leaves us with 3,4,5,16,19,31,34 and 52 for the draft
