Phil your thoughts on Freijah? Lots to like I reckon has AFL size and speed. Not his best game today however.

I haven't seen as much of him as I'd like and i'll be watching today's game later.

Has the size and speed to be a really good wingman but his footy IQ is low, doesn't get enough of the ball and his kicking is average. I'd want to see a lot more before the end of the year from him.

I have been asked and had a discussion on the phone this morning about a similar role to what I did for Carlton last year. Different Victorian club and have told them my fee has increased by 150%. They are getting back to me. So just in case, I was putting a draft board together this morning out to pick 60 and he didn't quite make my board.

Also just to whomever mentioned it earlier Billy Wilson was someone I mentioned much earlier in the thread as someone I would potentially chase. Either that or it was in a private msg, I had him as a target for us with our late second rounder. Better prospect than Hardeman imo and again something i'm big on, he hates losing. He's probably somewhere between 6-8th on the list of HB's in this draft pool but I really like him as a prospect.

Yeah I’ve talked a little about Billy. He’s really good with ball in hand. Got caught out a couple of times today defending one on one.
I reckon Freijah is good enough to be in your top 60 👍🏻

The great strength of Harley is his ability to be utilised anywhere. Unfortunately due to other midfielders who aren't as versatile they've decided to relegate Reid to a key position forward. Needs to be more one dimensional.

And that's how state squads operate.

Reid may be the best mid but he can play anywhere.

The one dimensional mids can't so Reid doesn't get played in the midfield.

He doesn't need to be more one dimensional.

Yeah I was just responding to others saying he looked a bit lost on ball. Got a whole championships to get through before he can be assessed really.
Early days. He could have felt the pressure a little as well. He dosnt look like a Daicos, Ashcroft or Wardlaw. Interesting to see how the championships unfold.

Harley Reid looks like a slightly classier version of Daniel Venables to me. Looks the type of player that'll always average 15-20 disposals but potentially a game breaker. The hype is ridiculous.
He's a Toby Greene like mid-forward.

Like most players finds it easier behind the ball but doesn't seem to do a lot with it. Kicking skills are okay but not damaging enough to be an elite half back.

Doesn't have the ball reading ability around the ground or doesn't have the tank. While he's explosive enough he lacks the ability to spread and create overlap.

Comparison to Dangerfield and Martin are laughable, he's noticeably slower and smaller than both. While I'd be happy to have him, he's not a generational talent.

West Coast problems are mostly post stoppage related, depending on the team we can put on the park. Which unfortunately players like Harley won't fix.

Does he really need to try?

He knows he will get drafted no matter what.

ATM if he is picked at 1 he's going West which he likely doent rate. So why bust a gut in the u18's like last year showing how good you are?

If he drops away he may think that improves his chance of being drafted to North or Hawks.

Reid has very little incentive to put on the afterburners.

Prefer a high footy IQ ball magnet than someone who plays on athleticism and potentially size advantage over his peers.

Unfortunately it might not be the draft to target that sort of mid so we have to take best available whether that's Reid or pick splitting to address multiple needs

This is the wildest thing ive ever read

He is a mid forward who finds it easier behind the ball

In that same realm. Im a member of Greenpeace. My favorite past time is harpooning whales and hunting elephants

What?

Im posting an opinion / theories as you describe it, and often post questions.

Maybe you should stop misinterpreting theories as facts!

My theory is Reid has no great need to blitz the u18 championshios. He knows he's getting drafted and already been clumsy answering questions on moving.

Is that more to your liking?
