Link to contract status of all players

Link to Lore ’s excellent draft order thread that is updated to reflect current ladder positions

You're confusing ruthlessness with incompetent list management. They're literally paying the wage of a best 22 player for a fellow flag contender?

And Hawthorn is paying a lump of Mitchells.

As for incompetent we played each other in a GF four years ago. We are now stone motherless last staring down the barrel of landing multiple wooden spoons.

And Collingwood? Well their 'incompetent list managers have them sitting on top of the ladder as flag favourites.

So I do question your view on the incompetence of Collingwoods list management.

Kane Cornes on SEN this morning said "I'm hearing Mitch Georgiadis will sign a small (2 years) contract with Port"

Excellent news..........if true.

A lot will depend on whether Yeo can stay on the park for the rest of the season.

He’s the youngest of our veterans and is contracted for next year so would likely be considered a required player by the club

Assuming you could convince him to shift (unlike many of our other senior players he doesn’t have kids or even a partner) and it would likely take a 3 year deal on decent money for him to consider it, then a trade value is dependent on what WCE want

Based on the current ladder, your pick 14 is too much and 33 isn’t likely to be sufficient so it’s not straight forward - we’d need to add something with Yeo for 14 or you’ll need to add something to 33

Can’t be bothering arguing about what those somethings might be though because it’s hypothetical

Pretty sure Yeo is dating Tess Goodbody (great name). He and Duggan seem the most likely to be pried out given they have no children.

So jealous of her RN.

With Maric, and to a lesser extent Waterman, that 3rd tall forward role is already filled.
Georgiades would likely be an upgrade on both. Would be happy to take him for free, but don't want to get bogged down negotiating with Port.If he walks to the PSD great, if not, that's fine too.

It would hurt given he is so great to watch, but is Liam Ryan someone who has trade value? He will be 28 next year and unlikely to be in our next premiership. Injuries starting to get to him.

His Mrs would beat the shit out of him if he even suggested moving interstate.

I would love for our senior players to have aged like sidebottom and scott pendlebury and our CHB to be in line for AA captain like Moore. But that's not happened and isn't in itself a sign of good or bad list management.

They also got Daicos, despite not having a first round pick and who would be the highest pick we've had since 2010.

There are plenty of reasons to criticise the club the last few years but at least try a bit harder to pick a valid reason.

The way people ignore that Collingwood finished second bottom since the 2018 GF is quite baffling to be honest. It was a COVID affected year, but still.

The only players with trade value would be (top tier) Allen, Barrass, (next tier) Ryan, Yeo, (bottom tier) Darling, Duggan and Petrucelle, imo. Then it's a matter of calculating who is open to a trade, who is worth more to us staying either as a star or developing, and who would net us something of value. Allen is off the table, I don't think Yeo would get a pick worth losing his leadership for, and not sure Darling would net us anything worth sacrificing the coverhe gives Allen. Which leaves Barrass and Ryan who could get us something of value and Duggan and Petrucelle who could probably get us token picks.
