If that’s the price, you walk away. Even with Tassie coming in, if we’re bottom 3, it’s a top 10 pick. Potentially 2 x top 3-5 picks and another potential top 6-10 pick? We’re not in a position to be selling the farm

If we pick up another 1st rounder through trade or FA then it’s another question but if we’re left with our first pick in the 20s or even 30s for three years straight, that’s asking for trouble
100%
Warner is worth 2 x 1st round picks no more, give Hawks 1st(9-12) after they fall outside the 8 and WC F1st which is a top 5 pick, that's the price, he is OOC and that is more than a fair deal.
If Sydney want 2 picks in 2025 you give Hawks 1st and you trade 2026 1st for a pick top 10 that's the offer, their choice 2 top 10 picks or 1 top 10 and future top 5?
No player is worth 2 top 5 picks when they are OOC.

One could easily say the folks leaping to briztools defence because some people are critical of him are overreacting too.

Oh no, somebody called him passive aggressive, better get a welfare check on poor briztool haha

People can say whatever they like about him
Look out everone, here comes briztools' white knight army

Watch out gaiz,

Here comes a G-string who can't handle an opposition poster offering up an alternate opinion

Trading future picks you take a discount.

Trading future picks 2 years in the future you cop another discount on their value. And that's not factoring in Tasmania.

What is a future 1st pick worth two years into the future in todays player/ pick value?
Yes, which is why 2 firsts should be enough. Who was the last player to go for 3?

Cameron and with 2 seconds coming back, they were all late firsts too.
Cameron deal was 13, 15, 20 and back Geelong got 2 F2nd round picks, 24 and 27.
Actually added up to 3236 points and got 1488 back so actually paid 1748 points in total so effectively pick 6 with the current DVI.

Is that footage of you DS after meeting Briz and finding out he has better calf definition than you?

Recall he's a bike rider so makes sense.

IMO When a poster brags on their own board about enjoying stirring up other boards I put them on ignore. Especially the smug subtle ones.

Look forward to knocking the Lions off in a GF in the next 4 to 6 years as they slide. As all teams do.

Many here might forget, but Hotton was the most inform player at the start of the CTL season.

He was getting more plaudits than Jagger and Levi.

From memory, he was also one of the very top performers from the CTL preseason athletic testing.
A bit of a Z Duurmsa clone. Gets a heap of it but isn't all that convincing. Is also really lightly framed at the moment so will be a fair way off.

I thought he was very damaging with his ball use before injury.

Build doesn’t overly concern me. Lots of lightly built 18 year olds get drafted. Always takes them 3 to 4 years to put on size, while they’re playing outside roles.

I guess you are correct. But ppl regularly talk about how our board is much more welcoming than others.

Not sure Z Duursma was ever that good tbh
I think both are fine players just slow starters. Comparable to Jaden Stephenson if he had worked hard outside of his first season. Very West Coast type of players who kill you with their outside running and combine that with a bit of forward nous.

Is warner worth more than a CONTRACTED shai Bolton?

Pick 10 + 11 + 18
For Bolton + 14 + F3 rich

I’m pretty confident Warner will end up at West Coast.
Warner, Hewett and Reid.
That’s the sort of midfield that brings home premiership trophies😀
Add in ginbey and bo Allen rolling through to add some grunt and go head to head with the big boys of the league and its looking real nice .

Freddy Rodriguez would add another layer to that too

when you crunch the DVI on that trade it comes out roughly at 2548 points paid for Bolton which equates to pick 2.
Personally Warner is worth 2 mid first round picks which is probably a pick 1 DVI.
That's why imo Hawks 1st round pick and WC F1st which normally future picks are a premium/discount of 20% which would make WC F1st around 9-10.
Anymore and WC are asking for significant picks back.
Your question is valid regarding Bolton/Warner comparison, don't pay anymore and start asking for picks back if Sydney are asking for 2 1st round picks.

100% agree with Ginbey & Allan, would complement a deep midfield of Reid, Hewett, Warner and have the agility, endurance and skill set to be wing/mid in time.
Rodriguez was the player I would rate as elite ball user in earlier discussion.
VERY good off both sides.
Would be gold if WC could get him.
Does C Warner give vibes of D Kemp midfielder?

I'm not sure Allan gives all that much grunt. Probably ends up on a wing.
Bo allan ?

In the champs he dominated physically in the centre . He is very much in the yeo mold when it comes to player comparisons.

For a draftee to compete against men at wafl level he has to have some physicality

I think you dont know what you are talking about
