Wait, someone with a silhouette profile on Twitter and the name “AFL Trade Rumours, News and More” isn’t legit? I’m shocked.

I'm convinced!

Probably more bummed that we blew 13 on Brander than the fact we'll get very little in return for him in a trade. Saying that completely in hindsight.

If he has to go, bottom 4 club is a winner. Could we extract an early second rounder?
So if Brander does request a trade that means our most recent first rounder on our list will be Liam Duggan. Geez, that’s a bit grim.

We really need to somehow get another top 20 pick.Just browsing other clubs boards, looks like they all want to raid the WA talent this year.

Would like to at least get some high end local talent this year and maybe a few less rated with later picks such as Dittmar,Browne,Tunstill Warner etc

Hutchy on FC tonight wondering If Tim English would be gettable and maybe WC might be interested as a back up Ruckman.

Said the Bulldogs don't really see him as a Ruckman and they have enough tall forwards.

I know we've got Bailey Williams but English is in another class.

Thoughts?

Bulldogs are a bit light on for mids

Maybe we could come up with a trade using Gaff

He used us as an example but we also don’t have cap space and draft picks to accommodate such move

If we Managed to grab the dogs Pick I would go 10. Sinn 14. Johnson 29 Bazzo 35. Warner 50. Dittmar

Would be very excited with this draft. Unfortunately I think sinn goes top 5 so I think we’re looking at a different, still solid midfielder at 10 here.

Based on the limited amount I’ve seen I think I’d also probably prioritise dittmar over Warner at 35 and hope Warner is still there.

And yet i think if he was playing early days at another club, and playing KPP like he was actually drafted for, he'd be well and truly at AFL level by now.

It's his confidence and lack of role which kills him for us. Not lack of talent. Has to live in the WAFL for months while others get gifted games around him, then when he's brought back in finally, it's a dead rubber game at the Gabba against a top 4 team missing all our "leaders" nobody expects us to win.

And people wonder why he occasionally squibs. Bloke gets told to play wing, and knows if he puts a single foot wrong he's OUT.

In his first game this year he had 21 Disposals, 6 marks, 4 inside 50's, 0 clangers, and a goal against then ladder leaders Port Adelaide.

Coincidently this is when Shuey returned and we had most of our senior team playing.

I am working on your logic. He knows if he puts a foot wrong he is out so he choses to squib?

He plays wing because he squibs far too consistently to play a key position.

If he chooses norf we will have to take what ever they offer as they can just PSD him
This has Ebert written all over it .

Norfs 3rd is 38 so better than nothing I guess

I don't think he "chooses" to squib. It's a confidence thing.

He knows he isn't a Simmo's Favourite and looks to me like he feels the pressure of having to perform at the top level and do too much to justify his selection.

I don't know if many of you folks remember Adam Simpson the player but ironically, he's the exact sort we need.
Tough midfielder. Hell, he even used to Ruck a bit!
Simpson was good for 3rd man up but that's about it. An accumulator but was generally a hack it long type kicker. Which is fine when Wayne Carey is in front of you. Ironic that he's chosen the high possession game plan

Hard at it, great clearance player, very good hands.
Kinda Priddis like but a bit more athletic from what I remember.

I agree it’s bizarre we pick a KPP and not play them there, but I just think it’s safe to assume he doesn’t have the tools to be a successful KPF at AFL level.

Despite whatever skills and abilities he has, I don’t think anyone could deny he’s not a natural shot for goal and he’s not a strong contested marker. Maybe the goalkicking is a confidence thing but that’s already a bad sign for your future key forward. Can’t rely on someone who could get the yips at any moment.

His hope would have been playing as a CHF that pushes up the ground to find space, but we end up using Darling for that and it’s usually in a contested marking situation anyway, with one of our trademark long kicks out of defence.

If it was up to me id give up 1st rounder + Brander for Jeremy Sharp. Get him out of GC failure factory and he will become a AA wingman

Says the poster who wants to trade our first and Brander for a Winger!
I thought he was taking the piss with that fake trade. And he reckons I'm on drugs!
