Just got the news, the power won't be back until 10pm. Will have to rely on BF for commentary - until my phone goes flat.

Freezing my moobs off.
Last time I missed a Crows game for a power outage was the 2009 semi final against Collingwood

Went out with 10 minutes to go in the last quarter. I had to run out and sit in the car to listen to the final stages

In the last two weeks we have registered our lowest score of all time whilst getting absolutely pantsed, we then lost at home by 8 goals to an Eagles side who were in insipid form prior including losing at home to the current spoon team and a 100pt loss to the Swans.

We are not competing well.
That current spoon team according to this board are suddenly one of the more talented young lists and are well ahead of our rebuild now. Haven’t you read the memo?

Looking forward to tonight, Schoenberg hopefully has a big one.

Interesting in Nick's interview that Hatley is carrying groin and hip pain, we haven't given him OP?
He has had groin and hips issues since arriving at the club

He has lost a fair bit of core strength and power which has impacting his running and kicking

I would stop playing him in the 2s and try and get him right for pre-season

Given that he has played with a fair bit of pain and restriction I still have hope for him but we need to get him right

what was the make, model and year? We're at our best as our threads derail. I'm thinking some kind of crappy 4 cylinder, but a higher level Japanese brand. Mazda?

We're up against 17th, not the Hawks of yesteryear. Does it bother you that people think we'll beat the 17th placed side? You're a weird cat, a rampant apologist, but weird nonetheless.

Agree
I want to build winning habits, and a winning culture

GC and Carlton have received so many top picks however are struggling to turn around losing cultures

Whether it's pick 1, 2, 3 or 4 it will an elite talent we are bringing in... so I'll rather banks some wins and belief in our young group and get what ever pick that follows that

Finish 13th and anything can happen.

Richmond were cellar dwellars. Resulted in 3 flags.
Melbourne. Top of the table season this year and possible flag.
West Coast - 2018 flag built on low picks.
Pies 2010. Built on low picks and priority picks.
Hawks dynasty. Built on low picks and being sh*t.
Dogs 2016. Built on low picks. And current season possible flag.
Cats - outlier.
Swans. Outlier.
West Coast 2006. Low picks.
Port. Franchise picks essentially same as having a group of low picks.
Brisbane. Ditto.

The last twenty years of flags has shown you need to be sh*t, or starting a new club to be a realistic chance at a flag.
Geelong and Sydney were assisted by father son leg up and COLA.
This is an incredibly creative interpretation

Three weeks ago, before the Lions game I was like that guy.

An admirable 13th to 15th finish a good way to end the season. Early on beat a few good teams, and a gutsy win come from behind win against the Saints. Ran out of puff near the end with 15/22 young guys playing each week. Great for culture and good signs for the future.

Then a real opportunity to finish bottom 3 opened up. GC, Carlton started winning. Then Collingwood started winning. Then pick two opened up. We can clinch that tonight.

With each week our percentage has dropped. Then Hawthorn/North had draws.

Tonight we will see if the club has seen these opportunities and acted accordingly. If we win, the last three games have just been bad play,in game coaching and selections.

If we lose, the club sets itself up for a genuine crack at pick 1.

Just a gut feeling we win tonight. Things like getting Jason Horne just don’t happen to us.

It was like when we thought Carlton were going to finish bottom and we’d get pick one or we thought losing Crouch would get us pick 1 and 2
We're getting Horne. He just won't be any good.
