Yeah I wouldn't Griff but seeing as some of the Bullants boys have been released I doubt there is much chance they will have an late listings... who know's though, we'll see what tomorrow brings!

Looks like SMS will be in with a huge change to get those wheels rolling again... Boundy was not released.

However in Ivanhoe's fortunes, they receive Josh Riddle but I don't think he is enough to stop Werribee's run.
Have you seen Riddle play lefty? Wish I knew how good he was, but after being released to play with us a few times this year already, he keeps turning up and playing for Ormond in C grade, where he is actually registered!! Damn it, could probably use him this week!!

ok - I'll dish out some tips

Banyule hosting SMS - the combine are out of form & have some injuries, they need to turn things around in the next few weeks. BUT the trip to Banyule is not going to help - the Bears are in cruise control and will take this by 42 points.

Atleast SMS have played AT ESL, Werribee and after this Banyule so that is a positive

Ivanhoe travelling to OP - crunch game again - a win here and 3/4 record could be enough for a temporary 5th place. Just havent seen enough of OP to suggest that they can trouble an Ivanhoe side that gives a heap of cheek every week. Ivanhoe by 24 points

OW hosting Bentleigh. Well I tipped Bentleigh last week and I feel let down. OW just have to win on their home turf - have to - I'll give them the nod this week. OW by 20 points

Glen Eira hosting Therry - well I honestly feel Therry are a tad underrated - they pushed us all the way last week and with Bannister back have a quality target up forward. But I also have to respect GE who got an impressive win last week. They are just too big for Therry in the key positions and with Massis back and in the best last week - they also have the running capacity. GE by 36 points.

Finally we host the Werribee juggernaught, we'll give it our best shot. It might be enough. ESL by 20 points

Just quoting myself after going 5 from 5 last week

I'll be brief today

Werribee will beat a very respectable Ivanhoe side - 30 points

Therry over OW in a big game - the winner can challenge for 4th spot - home ground for mine. Therry by 20 points

SMS just over OP - no Boundy the basis for this - wont be pretty but SMS by 20 points

ESL over Bentleigh in a tough road trip - 4 goals

Finally a quality game at Glen Eira. For mine Banyule are underrated - they are kicking some really big scores showing their firepower. Yet GE are tough to beat at Packer Park. The big newcomer for GE is No 51 Thomas Paterson - thumping left footer off the wing going unnoticed by many sides till its too late. GE might get this one - 24 points

Good luck to all teams in Round 8

Cheers

Speaking of websites, whats happening with yours Drif, looks a bit plain

Glen Eira v Banyule: Will be a cracker of a game, I believe both sides are very evenly matched, in respect to the height, fitness and skill levels... IMO a kick will seperate the teams.

SMS v Old Paradians: Pretty straight forward here, Boundy plays, OP win. If he doesn't will be a decent hit out nevertheless. For the SMS blokes on here, where has Lentini been?

Ivanhoe v Werribee: Ivanhoe are a suprise packet so far... getting on the right train but going on the wrong tracks! Werribee have something to prove from last weeks loss to the boys from emmaus.

Therry Penola v Old Westbourne: Good to see Bannister back and kicking goals! Is a key if they are to beat relegation. OW need to work on their kicking, should have blown bentleigh out of the water but kicked it everwhere but between the big sticks. At home and with a handy crowd TP to steal the points.

Bentleigh v Emmaus St. Leo's: Drif your mob are on fire and stomping over anything that gets in your way, even keeping the tigers on the leash and cementing a top 2 spot. However, you never ride of the boys from Authur Street and if Robbo isn't controlled you may see the Demons sneak away with a W...

Anyhow, here are my tips, will be interesting to get down to the club and read what that space cadet we call our D2 scribe has given us. Looks like might be a good night for training!

Hey leftfoot. Not sure what u exactly mean by this comment???
I expect the hoes to give a good account of themselves this weekend against weribee. The hoes r underrated i reckon.

Road trip you reckon Drif?

Were only 25 minutes away if that... just a stroll down warrigal road one might say :p

As for Riddle, had no idea about the ormond bit... are you positive about this?

I'' break it up for you buddy...

Getting on the right train - this means that they start of well and look promising like they might put up a fair fight and maybe get the 4 points....

But going on the wrong tracks! - this means that even though they've started of well something has gone wrong or a wire...

Hope this helps!

as a political prisoner from cuba...my tips this week are

ESL over Bentleigh by 4 goals.
SMS just across line against OP in order to stay in the hunt.2 goals
WBEE with Nathan Black in the week to get over Ivanhoe by 6 goals
OW to account for TP and string to 2 together and build some momentum for the back nine. 3 goals
GE in a big win. 8 goals

all the best for the weekend gents.....aand ladies.

sydney over 39.5 $2.45 get it in ya multi

Personally, I rate hoes quite highly.

Better week on the thread I reckon - no Banyule or Therry reps though!!

Saw Fridman was cleared from Casey for Bentleigh

I know it doesnt mean much but none of the other VFL names mentioned have been cleared for D2

How big are these VFl lists anyhow - seems like Sandringham are releasing 20 plus players each week to the VAFA alone

Boundy aside they will contribute but not dominate IMO

Unlike with many other VFL clubs, Sandringham have easily the most amount of listed players that have nominated a VAFA side as their nominated club... i think its mainly because of the area and the region...

To the west of the yarra and north into the EFL there is plenty of coin going around and thats why players from those VFL clubs are chased by local clubs within the area... whilst east and south of the Yarra there is not much coin so players prefer to play with their mates and old collegians... just my thought anyhow.

I can tell you that he was noticed by Therry last week. Had a tag on from early in the 2nd quater that Libba would have been proud of. Got scragged from point post to point post. Ended up getting a couple of frees for it and still played well.

Look up the western jets web page and look for stats over the last couple of years, should paint a pretty solid picture.

Good luck on the weekend.

Go tigers
