even Saturday's game which for the most part was okay had some moments, as you know, when things could have gotten out of hand.

Ease up Old fella.... that was the friendliest game Heights have played in years!!

and Berserk.. don't know what you mean by "the WRFL Div 2 Mentality" ... as far as I know nobody in our comp got bitten by an opposition player last year but i'm pretty sure it happened in your comp..

Fair enough. That's the third time we've played you guys in pratice matches and we wouldn't keep on doing it if the games weren't played the right way. Look forward to a rematch next year in little Gozo.

Any ground updates? who has water rights? who doesn't have a chance of playing on their grounds? and what are their alternatives?

Will the 2 week delay make any difference

Swinburne looks ok. Not great, but ok.

Banyule council has provided access to local Diamond Valley and VAFA clubs from April 1 for training - but under inspection from their staff.

Of the VAFA clubs
* Banyule's ground is poor
* Old Ivanhoe ( school ) in fair/good condition already.
* Ivanhoe - looks to have improved alot and should be good.

Yes can confirm that happened. Can also confirm its a very below average thing to happen and totally unacceptable. A very rare occurence though in a comp that is played in a generally good and clean spirit. We play at a pretty low div in the VAFA but probably had all of 2 or 3 fights for the whole year last year!

Did you wanna share with the forum how many may have occured throughout your Div 2 season last year? 2 or 3 a game possibly? or does the WRFL div 2 just get a bad wrap?

Either way can you confirm for me that most umpires in WRFL Div 2 are too scared to report players at all in fear of "retribution"!

Should clarify that there was nothing wrong with the spirit in which our praccy match against you guys was played. Just a general WRFL Divvy 2 comment.

And if you did tone it down a little for us poor defenseless Ammos ... thank you! We didnt want to have to "bite" back!

can anybody tell me about these names? Andy Height, Ryan Fort, Paul Martin and Chris Hanchette? Think they play at Ivanhoe?

Have briefly met Andy Height at a local pub with some of the other Ivanhoe boys - he said he played in the reserve grade for Ivanhoe/Assumption.

Don't know the others.

All great clubmen.

Andy Height - Key position player who can surprise with his smarts.
Ryan Fort - Tap ruckmen who always gives his little guys first use.
Paul Martin - Exceptionally fit individual who can play anywhere.
Chris Hanchette - Exciting young wingman who has been crippled by injury of late.
