I think with Mick it's more about "Better the Devil you know". Dids, Daisy and Heater all know his gameplan meaning he can use them to help teach the rest of his team. Rowdy is already there and even Buttifant can help out on the bench. I don't think it's the worst ploy. Heater will be their best running defender, Daisy will be their best midfielder and Dids may play 15 odd games playing forward rotating through as an extra midfielder. It helps accelerate the learning of his game plan to the rest of their team mates. Daisy being a two way runner will be able to teach the Carlton front runners.

They have to spend their money on someone. 2014 will be Judd's last year, Betts is gone, Scotland may even go this year.
I didn't mention shaw as there is no way we trade him to them.

We are better off with dale going and they look stupid if they give dids a 2 year deal

I agree that we are better off without him. As much as I loved him as a player, I kind of felt there was a change in his personality over the last couple of years (perhaps I was reading too much into it). Part of me feels that his output will be better at Carlton than what it would have been at Collingwood from 2014 onwards (read complacency).

I doubt we would trade Shaw to them too, but I can see MM's logic in trying to get in players who already know his gameplan and he already has a relationship with as opposed to players of equal ability but starting from scratch.

They are "his boys" after all.

Definitely a change in personality, seemed to want to cultivate a Swan like persona.

My point was you kept mentioning shaw.

Blues, and mick, are looking stupid giving a midfielder 600-700 for four years when they need kpp's. Then dids?

Anyway we are all pies fans. Dale leaving hurts me but I think we are better for it.

Mentioned him once in reference to the article posted that indicated that Carlton was interested in him. I can't see us trading Shaw to Carlton either, unless we can bend them over.

They do need kpp, but they are also a few mids short. There were games where they played three taggers. You only do that if you can't win the ball yourself.

I must say I'm torn a little. Daisy was a big part in providing me with my favourite football memory in 2010 - and I must say no matter what these guys have done I'll always be greatful for that.

But on the other Carlton....**** that shit!

I just read your post and you mentioned heath twice. All cool.

Blues/scum are looking bad if they pick dale and alan.

Why are people angry at Daisy? He has done us a massive favour by leaving. He will cripple Carltons salary cap for the next 4yrs plus we get pick 11. All for a player that is cooked

That'll just force them to cheat again.

Mate, things are sweet. We lost a guy who doesn't want to be here and got one of the top 11 players in the land.

I think it is a good day for us.

I hope it works out well but right now I am shattered.

I like you as a poster so I hope you respect this.

Club is bigger than any player. Nothing else matters other than our GREAT club.

Take care, mate.

Cheers mate and go Pies!
