Houston in - huge salary for 6 years.
Perryman in - huge salary for 6 years.

Oldest list by far - 9 players over 30 YOA?

One father son drafted the only ( reportedly) high-ish draft pick in 3 years.

No incumbent youth coming through.

This the deepest & strongest draft in decades.

I’d say that’s all in!
What do each clubs magically get 10 picks this year or something?

Our 1st round pick next year will be used on a F/S. which now we don’t need

Do your research before cocking off Charles.
One FS in 3 years of drafting won’t help much - be honest, Collingwood are all in!

If you don’t win it next year - y’all are stuffed for a long time with the Devils arriving shortly.

Is Houston the difference between 9th & a premiership - we will see:).

It’ll be fun to watch!

Future First, Noble & Richard’s.

You’re certainly all in! No youth coming through & none drafted last year, this year or next!

He’s a great get if the deal is done - interesting to see what difference he makes to the pies.
This was great work by Collingwood, and next year they bring in young McGuane.
Fair enough if you dislike Collingwood, but you shouldn't make that an excuse to embarrass yourself.

Don't Carlton have like 12 players over 29?

Oh my! The salt is strong in you.

We have the competitions best player under 22, we’ve got retiring players coming up all on decent money.

What do we with Pendles/Sidey/Howe/Elliotts money? put it in the bank? No we go at more FA with money.

Collingwood get things right more then your mob, worry about your own backyard my friend.

What excuse my odd-dog-friend?

Carlton could have brought him in but we’re going after pick 3, Sid Draper et al.

How have all your top picks served you for the last almost 3 decades?

No other club in the league has as dominant a spine as you guys, and you still can’t get the job done.

Port were never getting a better offer then Norths ff, i can guarantee it would of been a top 6 pick next year but Houston not really interested and fair enough being 28 in may next year and wanting to play finals now.
In my mind strengthens the fact clubs should be able to trade players to whoever they want.

Come on - be honest, you’ve got one decent player under 22.

The rest are numpties.

Look at that list of retirees - who’s going to replace them?

Houston is a great get - but it’s an all in plan - even your coach said so.

So was the heavy investment in Schultz!

One father-son won’t hold the dam from breaking.

BTW - the deal ain’t done yet - on a knife edge still according to Cal.

You’d better hope Port don’t wake up & realise they’ve been fleeced!

Pies and GC have absolutely fleeced Port.

Luko is so overrated he should have been a salary dump by GC.

Houston is absolutely elite talent, Port 4th best player.

Port big winners here. Lukosious will thrive at home devastating to lose him.

Atkins is no good but they get a gun as a result of letting a go a flakey HB

I've seen some bad trades in my time, but oh boy this is a doozy.

Port fans wanting two top-10 picks or a top-10 pick + Pickett feels like a lifetime ago.

Rory Atkins and Joe Richards though

Lol 'a flaky halfback'. The guy is one of the very best users in the comp and the very definition of consistency.

Who are all these Carlton gun under 22 players?

Ollie Hollands…

You’d need trade to trade 5 Ollie Hollands for Nick.

Let’s compare to Carlton:

Haynes in - probably all the bursting cap could afford. Attempts to offload Kennedy and Young to secure better players like Houston were unsuccessful.

Peaking list and cap that hasn’t gotten close to a premiership

One high-ish draft picks in 3 years (Ollie Holands, and he’s no Nick Daicos). Since taking Walsh at pick 1 in 2018, the Blues drafting has been as ordinary as ours.

Also no incumbent youth coming through, unless the likes of Lord and Binns count for you but Allan and Harrison don’t for us.

The deepest and strongest draft in decades? You obviously aren’t a draft nut and just enjoy Cal Twomey articles. The depth in this draft is commendable but not unrivalled, the top end is not special.

Just focus on getting your club getting the picks right so you can have a serious tilt at the premiership at some stage.

Yep. Carlton would easily have the most players in the comp on close to or above $1m in the comp.

OK, so look at Carlton ( I know you love to);

Across 23/24/25 - we had/have the opportunity to bring in 6 father sun/academy players & 4 first round draft pics (as it stands now, trying to trade up our first rounder this year).

This year is the strongest/deepest draft in decades.

Our strategy is to invest in this draft - next year, another year you have no first draft pick, there’s a HUGE group of free agents available.

Collingwood won’t feature in the draft or have the assets to bring another free agent next year.

Several of your most important players will retire & then what?

Tassie start eating all the early draft pics across 3 years!

Houston is a great player - but will he win you the premiership next year?

If he doesn’t - is this sugar hit worth it?

We’ll have heaps of space next year to bring in Free Agents

What in the world are you talking about?

We could easily be targeting a player like LDU to come in to replace the retiring guys and still bring in Tom McGuane.

Ashton Moir

Elijah Hollands
