i hope he tries to come back - for selfish reasons (my favourite player, still) and for him.
yes, the rehab will be hard. going through it again will be even harder. and no, i dont know exactly what it is like.
but he is 21, and if he doesnt go through that pain and torture again, there will always be a part of him that thinks 'what if i could have made a come back?'
the guy loves playing football, so if he feels that he can possibly comeback, i think he should go for it.
obviously, he will have all sorts of expert opinions on his chances, so he wouldnt make a blind decision based only on 'it will be hard', but i cant imagine much worse than living your life with 'what ifs'...
i said before gumbleton is 24 and played 8 more games only. he has time on his side, lets just hope he wants to put himself through it again.
at least we know the club will support him no matter what he chooses - thats very important in a situation like this.
