THE WESTERN Bulldogs are eyeing a play to lure Darcy Moore out of Collingwood.

AFL.com.au understands the Dogs have expressed interest in the contracted Pie in what would shape as the ultimate key position pairing with prodigious youngster Aaron Naughton.

Seems pretty unlikely imo but who knows these days.

That is such a huge gamble to pay that for a kid who has struggled to stay on the park consistently. He is a brilliant player but I would be hesitant to pay that for him at this stage.

I have zero faith in the pies medical department, ours isn't fantastic but it's a he'll of alot better then the pies

His a 23 year old hitting his prime and is under contract. He was in frame for AA selection when he went down with his latest hamstring. I think his body would come good with proper medicos/strength and conditioning

Because Mitch Cleary who was once credible, is no longer... he's throwing up names left right and centre for the dogs and throwing in "maybe", "could be" to cover his tracks

There are other more obtainable and more realistic options... e.g. Alex Keath

Dogs should be going hard for Keath instead who may be older, but much more gettable OOC and will cost less trade wise as well.

High Risk with potentially High Reward.
If we want to be in contention at the pointy end of the season Bulldogs can't afford to play safe. The fact we are not a "destination" club means we have to pay overs.
And Moore is the type of player that could put us right in contention, having said that I can't see it happening.
