cant kick

True, but he generally seems to make good decisions. If there's a team mate in a better position he'll hand it off, but I also think he's a touch hesitant to kick when he should because he knows he's a bad kick. Sometimes a below average kick in to a content is better than holding up the play.

he goes missing in games

I think this is more to do with his role in the team rather than a negative towards him. All reports I read had him being prolific when played in the midfield at Under 18s level.

his goal kicking is mediocre at best

Hard to argue this, but I think it will improve slightly when he's a bit more confident in himself.

im yet to see him really quell an opponent as a tagger or a defensive half forward

Go back and watch the Geelong game on Anzac day last year and have a look at the job he did on Joel Selwood.

What is all this talk about lunch? It's only morning here, I just had breakfast ferchrissakes. But once lunch time does come along, I think I'll have a nice salad. :thumbsu:

What kind of breakfasts does one have in Belgium?

Nothing special really: cereal, fruit and a big mug of coffee to wake me up.

We live next door to a farmer. We call him 'de boer' because those are the Dutch words for 'the farmer'. He is all right. I haven't ever had lunch with him though.

Has anyone ever had lunch with, like important people? Current midfielders for example? And what did you have?

I know that I'm an opposition supporter but i've watched a bit of Freo this year and have some thoughts on DeBoer.

Had some fantastic ramen noodles with char grilled beef for lunch today. Just had Weeties for breakfast. Am getting a bit pecking, might have a snack before dinner.

Definitely needs to be dropped this week, he was awful on the weekend. I can honestly say that I've never had less faith in a player's kicking skills than I do with Deboer, its sad because I think even he has no faith in his own kicking and it showed when he missed those simple set shots. The fact that people on here are so eager to write off Schammer yet give Deboer so much leniency just shows how hypocritical people are when assessing players of different ages. Schammer is a far better player than Deboer is right now and I would be surprised if he ever catches up to him.

What are you planning on having for dinner? Something creamy? A carbonara, perhaps?

I haven't posted for a while but I still occasionally check the site out. After reading a lot of negative crap on here of late I haven't really been bothered but I would like to weigh into the de Boer debate.

Things were looking grim earlier in the day as I didn't have a lot of time between osteo and dental appointments, and no cash for takeaway. But I found the last of the bread rolls and stuffed that with turkey, lettuce, artichoke hearts, sun dried tomatoes, mayo and chutney. Washed it down with a can of berry V and was on the way. Pretty good lunch in just 5 mins.

Why dont you all STFU.

Mems raises a valid query about Deboer and his current form.

If you guys continue to derail the thread I will return fire in your threads on the board.

This thread is disgraceful. I will also return fire if you guys continue to pull this shit. Memories went to the trouble of getting some game analysis and you guys act like this? pathetic.

Exactly, Mems is one of the most insightful posters on this board - and he actually took the time to organise screen caps.

I disagree with his comments re Deboer but Deboer current form certainly deserves discussion. His performance in the first quarter against Richmond was unacceptable.

I totally agree!
Come on you Mods, you've banned people for less on this website!

Why don't you do something about this? Or is it only the Cricket Board you look after?

I think he should be given another chance if he puts in the hard work, goes back to WAFL and blows it up. In my estimation he will be delisted within a few years. He has shown less than Andrew Browne did at same age and seems to be of same mould.

Modern AFL has no room for players that can't kick and aren't particularly fast. The point of this thread is how is this guy getting a game ahead of Schammer or Palmer? As I said, he makes Schammer look like a superstar and Palmer on one leg would still kick it better.

I hate this thread, should be banned.

Everybodies lunch was so much nicer than mine and I'm jealous. I had a mea troll with gravy and chips.

Sounds tasty, where was mine?

Well on Sunday I gave up my membership seat to go to the Dockers Den with some corporates. I wouldn't neccessarily call it lunch (More a real late lunch/early dinner) but, we were honoured with the presence of the one and only Subanator. Great lad and spoke well. Also there was Dipper and that guy from 94.5 (Man he looks nothing like he sounds). We had a buffet selection of creamed potatoes, vege lasagne (Needed meat), some roast lamb, mixed salads and also salmon.

Today I had a pizza Sub from Subway. Wasn't too flash.

This thread is De Boer-some.
