If we want to continue to be a mediocre football club, then yes. Let's get back Andrew Collins.

If not then let's appreciate the fact the club traded a player at his highest value, when they didn't see a big future for him, instead of holding on until he was worthless.

PROBABLY for another thread, but your opening statement just emphasises why one Jayden Post was not so harshly treated.
There is a high number of players at other clubs - including a lot at more successful clubs - who have been deemed not up to scratch.
It's a ruthless business and the demands to succeed has never been higher!
You could put together a team of the best 22 players delisted and Post wouldn't get a mention!
You're 100% right Goldy, he didn't even make the list in the Age about delisted players finding a home at another club.

Collins is very very very overrated.

The game against Sydney has been his stand out.

If he is as good as people carry on here the following would not have happened

Traded to Carlton
Delisted by Carlton

He was known as GOD on the Carlton forum. Those morons had been harping on all year how they had the better end of that deal......f****** clueless.

this is why some journo's need a slap. i didnt realise derickx is a midget(even tho he's yet to perform but he is on the 'books')

Haha. To be fair to the people that run the page, I think it's more of a hobby and they work full time jobs - wouldn't be easy to be across all clubs.

Maybe when they say 'genuine ruckmen' they don't consider/rate Derickx as a player? Who knows.

Either way, I hope we at least bring in another ruckman either onto the senior list or as a rookie. Could use one more I on the list.

What I don't get is how clubs get rid of some players swiftly...like Post, yet hold on to others for an eternity...like Gus
It's like they suddenly wake up one day and say ...'****...what's Gus still doing here?
Supply and demand rubber. If Post was 200cm plus and a ruckman he would still be here.

Apart from having a collection of the worst tattoos in the Afl. Seem's like a bit of a tool.
I'd imagine he would fighting with the likes of both the edwards for a spot, probably be good mates with Aaron. They could go drinking together!

How are tatts relevant?
I don't have any, but Jake King has a plethora of 'em and Dusty has one running around his neck of all places (which may or may not come back to bite him later in life, noting a lot of employers, rightly or wrongly won't empoy people with visible tatts), so do you think any less of them?
Or Dane Swan?

I'd like us to look at Josh Toy.

GC offered Toy a contract, which I think means he doesn't meet the criteria to be a Delisted free agent. Either way, I hope we look at him with a PSD or Rookie pick, there's just too much reward for such a small price. It far outweighs the risk.

As I said before I like tattoos. Dusty and King are some of my favourite players at the RFC and Dane swan is probably my favourite player outside of richmond. And I'm not just making that up for the sake of argument. I was saying as a side note that he has some of the worst tattoos I have seen for example "L4TM". I don't know if your the sharpest tool in the shed to get that on your arm, but that's beside the point if he had the same attitude of cotchin I couldn't care less if he had it on his forehead.

Tattoos sometimes reflect an incident or life changing circumstance that makes you want to remember or show your thoughts on an issue. I think it is grossly unfair to label someone as not the smartest tool in the shed due to his tattoo of "L4TM". It could have significant meaning to him.

I give up. That's fair enough and it could. I dont really give a shit about his tattoo's. It was an off hand comment which people are harping on. Its known that he doesn't have the greatest attitde, thats why i wouldn't want him at richmond as i said before.

Don't really see Reimers getting a game, or being a good influence at our club, so no. In general I wouldn't think any of the left over delistee's will be looked at by Richmond, except for maybe Toy.

Toy is garbage.

Lonergan/Petterd/Stephenson. Last 2 as rookies only would probably be the only I'd have a squiz at.

I think we'd be silly not to rookie Orren Stephenson. He looked good (as a depth ruckman) in the games I saw him play. As good as anyone else you are going to get to play back-up.

Massive improvement on Gus and that's all that matters to me.

Toy is worth a shot too, highly rated junior who probs didn't want to be on the GC.

What's wrong with him? I heard Quayle thought he was a gun?
He's soft, slow, can't run (heart condition partly but I think he's mentally weak as well from what I've been told.) He can kick the ball well and that's it. Problem is at AFL level if you are soft you can't win the ball, if you are slow with no tank you can't even spread to get cheap ball and hence he ends up never getting the footy and can't use his only good asset.

Mate heard him (Reimers) on SEN this morning and apparently he came across as a whining little biatch. Would be lucky for anyone to want him (cue Melbourne to sweep in and grab him)...

Is he soft Tigs? I remember NAB cup I think it was when I first saw him play and he was fearless, really throwing himself into the contest. I also thought I read he was a really courageous junior?

Been told at NEAFL he likes to skirt packs and slightest bit of contact he likes to come off the ground. That's a fair few levels below AFL.

Wow that is a massive concern and disappointing.
