Sorry forgot Bolton was on rookie list.

Then gone are leigh brown,Leon Davis, heard that macarthy is looking at greener pastures, which another player maybe brad dick could go.

Gee we wouldn't want to lose macaffer, cos we have already lost say three seniors will effect us next year, the Caff must stay.

Out mcarthy dick Stubbs farmer Davis brown
In Elliott clarke yagmoor witts 2 picks

Out reed hunter Reilly Bolton
In carracher Hartley mooney pick

Maccafer Buckley also in trouble with salary cap and list space

This probably gives the best indication of our cap squeeze, looks like we'll be going down to the wire
COLLINGWOOD
Leigh Brown (ret)

We have a few players with futures undecided:
- Davis staying in Perth?
- MacCaffer looking for a better deal?
- Dick considering retirement?
I think that CFC wants to retain each (as individuals), however we cannot fit them all in. Hence decision on delistings delayed until situation re Davis is clarified, then we know what to do with Caff & Dick. We can only keep one of those three (assuming other departures are Brown, McCarthy, Farmer & Stubbs).
Monday is D day. My tip - Davis gone, Caff stays, Dick to Rookie list.

Monday is 1st list lodgement isn't it? What does that actually mean? That we have to have our list finalised?

Just have to list 38 primary players, plus 2 vets & advise which rookies we are retaining from 2011 list.
We must include Clarke, Elliott & Yagmoor in our 38 (so 3 must come off).
We have 3 drafts picks (Witts plus 2 live picks - compulsary), not sure if 1st list lodgement must factor these 3 picks in or if we can wait until final list lodgement after draft.
So we have to reduce primary list by 3 or 6 on Monday.

Ned Guy the manager of JMac confirmed (back page of todays HSun sports lift out) that he wont be at Pies next year and will enter the draft (as most thought).

Sounds like an amicable parting of ways according to the article with no bad blood from either party.

Was never a huge fan but was a good depth player without too many tricks. The victim of a strong list with too many decent mids in front of him. Good luck to John and let's hope he gets another chance somewhere else where he may thrive with more first team opportunities.

Any of the bottom 6-8 sides would be crazy not to pick up J-Mac.

He is a similar player to Danny Stanley IMO, in that he really never performed for us at senior level, but was a star in the VFL.

And like Stanley, if given the opportunity to play plenty of senior games in a row, he may show his true potential.

I wish him well, injuries and just that real lack of class meant he didn't make it with us, but it's good to see the split was rather amicable, unlike some in the past (Yes, I'm looking at you Jack Anthony).

So confirmed delistings?

McCarthy
Davis
L.Brown

Rookies;
Bolton
McNamara

Is that about right at the moment?

John McCarthy is very much like Danny Stanley & Sam Iles. He will be better of at another club. Also i think Stanley is a better player then McCarthy IMO. Will have a good career at another club, bottom 8 side of course. I can't see him in the Starting 22 from any of last years top 8 sides.

I assume that if Caff does not sign a new contract by 2pm tomorrow then he is no longer an employee of the CFC & hence cannot be included on our 1st list lodgement tomorrow?? (along with Brown, Davis, McCarthy).
Is this the case?
They can leave Farmer & Stubbs on the 1st list (as they are still contracted 2012) & they can take them off in later list lodgements, if the club decides to delist. Not sure about Dick's contract status.

So are those delistings official??

Can you provide a link please?

The only "official" delisting we have at the moment is Leigh Browns retirement, the others are speculative but fairly certain.

Leigh Brown (ret) - official
Leon Davis (ret) - media/leon saying he is going home
John McCarthy (delist) - his own twitter and manager
Brad Dick (ret/delist) - media/club speculation
Trent Stubbs (ret/delist) -bigfooty's powers of deduction
Daniel Farmer (ret/delist) -bigfooty's powers of deduction

Maccaffer, unknown but would think more likely to be staying now with Leon leaving.

Dick Farmer and Stubbs may be re-rookied as we know that Bolton and Shae have been delisted and it is rumoured that the entire rookie list was culled.

Hey guys,

I dont usually put up information unless im 100% confident in my source, so this is as much as i know.

All of our rookies have been released.
Famer and Stubbs have been delisted to be put on the rookie list.
The club wants to rookie list Brad Dick but he is keen to return home to a WA based club.
Brent Macaffer is keen to join Brisbane.
Mccarthy has meetings with Port Adelaide, Richmond and Essendon within the next few days.

That sounds entirely reasonable. hope we can talk Caff around. mcCarthy should find a second club, at worst via the rookie draft.I

How do we all know Bolton has been delisted? I thought he was the most promising rookie from this year?!
Nick Maxwell confirmed it on Twitter a while back, as did Bolton himself.

Not "official" yet, but as good as.

I hope it is wrong about Macaffer wanting to join brisbane I don,t like the idea him joining those pricks I could settle for quite a few other clubs before those assholes.

Hopefully he will stay now but anywhere but the lions.
