Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

And while we're at it thanks for Buddy:thumbsu:

Judd clearly has left for money reasons, as if you would leave West Coast with the state their list is in. Honestly, they will win another 2 premierships in the next 5 years, and Woosha will be giving it to Judd, like Choco gave it to Stevens.

Yep ok

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

He has an obligation to be honest, "it's not about the money" - yeh...right

He has no obligation other than to himself, his family and his future employer.

Pretty obvious Dawk supporters on this site are at school still and do not work. This is Judds job, as an employee you look after yourself first and foremost.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

Seems to me someone is pissy about Hawthorn still not being considered a `Big 4' club by anyone that counts

It's still not very ethical to claim he is coming back to Victoria because his mummy wants him back, when he cleary has another agenda. Money is the major initiative Judd has here.
He doesn't have an obligation to speak to anyone you are correct, however, he could be honest to the Eagles fans rather than using simple excuses.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

Number 1 player can do what he likes so suck it up people

If he has no intention of going to Hawks or Saints then he has done the right thing and is not wasting anyone's time - unlike this thread!

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

It's really not that hard to understand if you read between the lines. All this fuss is just media beat up

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

Get off your high horses for a second and ask yourself this. Judd flies over from the West and then refuses to meet with a desirous suitor. Forget the reasons speculated in the media., what a disgrace.

No actually....

What a pompus, little jerk off. He snobs off an AFL club with 70 odd years of history and 9 premierships, without a trace of respect.:eek::eek:

Anyone who isn't just enjoying throwing stones at the Saints or the Hawks will see through this for what it is.

Both St Kilda and Hawthorn have too many stars to pay him that price tag. END OF STORY. Judd and Connors know it.

Never seen such a 360 degree turn in someones so called character in my time watching footy, and am glad the media are starting to comment on it too now.

The Tassie Hawks are nobodies in the AFL word. Game over. Move on.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

Like your money thing there is a grain of truth here but it is FAR bigger then the hawthorn thing. Since when did players interview the clubs arrogant and a dangerous step towards free agency if you ask me.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

If it was possible I actually want Judd more now

Kid's obviously got taste

Judd: a "me first" footy snob

H2F, it is not often I agree with your views, but I do this time!

The manner in which Judd has gone about this transfer of clubs shows the arrogance of the man, which we did see glimpses of in the last couple years.

Shopping around for a club that he prefers is like Matthews said, distasteful, and something I think will leave many clubs and fans of the game upset with him for. One club will be pleased with acquiring Judd, but 9 others in Victoria won't be.

Leaving on the same weekend West Coast is knocked out of the finals was also a low blow for his fans at the Eagles. And his teammates I would think. He had decided to leave before our semi-final.

Creating a media circus by announcing his preferred clubs and then going around individually to each, while taking attention away from what should be the biggest week in football (Brownlow, prelims and Grand Final) just shows a selfish attitude.

Not a good look, and I think the media will soon turn on him, because they have started already.

I can't believe we are on the same side of a debate

Lol... The opposition stand no chance ;)

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

If Hawthorn and/or St.Kilda hadn't have stuffed up at the 2001 draft there wouldn't be this problem.

Judd wouldn't have been put in the position where he had to move to WA.

He probably still rightly or wrongly holds a grudge and is waving two fingers at both of those clubs now.

Besides would Hawthorn really want him? What could they possibly offer West Coast without selling out their future?

And for all those accusing him of arrogance, imagine that, a professional footballer being arrogant (let alone the best one in the land). He owes nothing to anyone but himself.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

Who cares. Worry about who is playing for us. I don't think we could afford him without trading away some of our young players which i would not be happy about.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

I'm starting to find it annoying the number of Hawk fans whinging.

I'm quite pissed that he isn't interested in us as well, but if he was interested, we'd get upset at what we will give up.

The past few weeks, Judd's has shown what kind of person he really is. Even if he shown interests in 5 clubs, us being the 5th, would we still want a guy thats like this?

And what kind of person is that? Jesus, you'd think he'd king-hit Nelson Mandela or embezzled money off Red Cross the way some people carry on.

He's an out of contract footballer who's asked to be traded back to his hometown. There's nothing unethical about that.

Some people need to get a grip.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

As long as we keep doing those fun "Judd v Hodge" comparisons I don't care where he goes

We got Hodge, I wouldn't call that a stuff up. :thumbsu:

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

This isnt very difficult;

- Judd wants to go home
- The money is probably part of the issue, but not the main one
- At the end of the day, most of the clubs he wants to go to will offer close to the same in $$/benefits to him, give or take
- The shenanigans at WCE would have been a factor in wanting to leave - although he says it was 05 when he decided he was probably on his last contract, so maybe it was just the last straw, rather than the main reason
- The shenanigans at other clubs (StK, Haw) would be a reason why he doesnt want to go to them, especially clubs where there may be a greater chance of problems being revealed

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

Ahh this thread is too funny. Some of you Hawk fans are really coming across as obsessive, stuck up losers. :thumbsu:
So Judd didn't pick your club. Have a cry and get over it.
Hell I'm 99% sure he ain't coming to Essendon but I'm not gonna come on here and drag his name through the mud after he dons the Carlton or Collingwood jumper for next season.
Poor widdle Hawks...

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

We're not prepared to give him the ultra big biccies, so he is not interested. Probably a good thing for us too.

I that makes you feel better you can believe that. But I think you'll find that Judd didn't even give Hawthorn the opportunity to make him an money offer.

Re: Do you think it is appropriate the vibe Judd is giving Hawthorn? Who the $%^& does he think he

Much as H2F has left himself wide open by making a couple of threads about the same issue, there is merit in his OP, at least enough merit to tbe asking the question.

If I was a Hawks fan, I too would be asking why he had flat out refused to even talk to my club.

The Hawks have made it public that they tried to initiate contact, so they are obviously interested.
The Hawks have a couple of players who while they would be reluctant to trade, may fit the criteria of a fair trade for the Eagles.
Hawthorn have first rate training facilities.
Hawthorn also have an exciting young list that could deliver the success Judd talk of wanting to be a part of.
For all the jokes about Tassie, they train and are based well and truly in Melbourne's suburbs and that is VERY likely to be the case for at least the rest of Judd's career.

So why will he not even talk to them? I'll ignore the 4 club thing, as I haven't heard Judd specify 4 clubs, but it is apparent he has ruled out the Hawks. All the boxes above ticked, yet he will not even talk to a club that is on the up.

What reason could there be? If it's something we can't talk about, he is making some very big assumptions. He has lived in Perth and could only be going on second hand scuttlebutt. Plus, if Hawthorn doesn't fit the 'family club' image he perhaps is looking for why make the big deal about staying with the Eagles if they were in Melbourne?

The choice of clubs he does appear to be willing to talk to (or more relevantly a couple that he appears not to be willing to talk to) don't appear to match the "I just want to go home to Melbourne for family reasons, it isn't about money" line he has been pedaling.

Ditto much of the above St Kilda.
