Just had a look at the form for R1 ,
Hankee Alpha has a sticky gate for 1200 at Ellerslie.
Sometimes you just have to take your medicine when drawn wide.
That big long bend comes pretty quick and you can find yourself in no man’s land.

The Cambridge horse may offer some value ?
Green as grass as a beaten favourite last start, but if they can settle him, he could run into the first 3.

It is a very tricky barrier at that course and distance.

However, she settled last in her last start win and then weaved some sort of magic beyond her years to win. In the December trial she settled last and Masa just sat on it.

It's risky, but I wonder whether they choose not to compete for a spot early and risk getting caught wide but rather settle at the back and then back her in to weave a path in the straight.

It'll be some finish if that’s how it pans out. Masa not riding is my question mark.

That was unlucky. Unless your Imperatriz it's very hard to win from there.

What a great horse to own, earns almost every time he goes to the track !
Putting together a great record, earning close to $350k now.

Will have to watch on replay. Sky 2 cut to farking Newcastle or some other dog forsaken place. Saw the finish. Still coming. She'll win some good ones!

There's money in buses it seems.

She's also a 3/4 to Atishu and Savaglee. It's big money no doubt. At the same time, there aren't too many pedigrees like that on the market.

You're forgiven Harold. I couldn't pick my nose at Te Rapa today. Not sure it would have made a difference. Going so badly I pulled the pin at race 8 and didn't back the one I'd earmarked as overs for the day in race 9. Of course the inevitable happened ... what a game!
