Compare the pair... 2016 and 2021 Prelim.

With GWS, the Bulldogs fans descended on Western Sydney and urged the team on. Songs were sung on planes on the way back, Bevo forked out for coffees and cakes for those going by bus. The last kick to Dicko, perfectly weighted as the final siren was about to blare was the first time we were in control.

Step forward to today, and most fans are watching with their families as their mobiles melt with the congratulations before 3/4 time.

It's surreal, we are in the big dance however we are not checking what time tix are available, who has what barcode or ticket via work. Only those in their 70's could remember our two other visits to the GF so the intense nervous energy won't be matched.

The 2016 team had nothing to lose and it was really after the WCE game that the belief was there. This year we have the knowledge of at least eight who played in 2016 and we have a determined, well orchestrated team, up against a bloody good Dees outfit.

The key similarity is the "also rans" have lifted when required when it matters most. Clay Smith played the absolute best game ever against the plastics, Hannan did the same tonight.

Bring it on!

Nothing will top 2016, but this has been pretty sweet.

We couldn't have possibly fallen out of the top four, but we did. And when we did, like in 2016, we couldn't possibly have won interstate finals. Until we did.

Our three finals wins have been against teams who played a huge part in us falling out of the top four, oh vindication is sweet.

2016, was so good it needed an encore and here we are, five years later.

Earlier this week or yesterday someone posted a video of Bont jumping out of a wheelchair taking down Port Adelaide in the wrestling ring. Cant find it though. Does anyone have it?

I am sure Bevo has Sicilian blood in his veins, anyone who ****s with us ends up paying the price.

lol Port.

Some (not all) of their supporters have been so cocky since they came into the AFL.

‘We exist to win Premerships’

How fn arrogant is that when they have been won in an inferior competition to the one they have joined.

Often they have been dismissive of clubs like ours, with the

‘Too many clubs in Melbourne shit.’

Never mind their tarps and all that.

So bloody sweet we have flogged them in a prelim.

Oh and they have been some of the chief offenders regarding the free kick bulldogs shit.

And they had about twice the number of frees than the dogs about half way through the third quarter.

Well well

Tom Morris just said on First Crack 6 Geelong players were significantly ill with a virus before and during their game.

So sick they were they had to contact the afl to tell them they may have to make mass changes pre game including bringing in all emergencies and then some others.

Included Porkins and Cameron

Bevo's presser tonight was gold. And his support for Adam Treloar ... well I just want to pull the boots on in two weeks and run through a brick wall for both Adam and Luke. Good on you for calling out the negative muck-rakers in journalism for what they've said about Adz this past week. Dogs supporters - do yourself a favour and watch the after match presser. We are going to give this Premiership an almighty shake. Good vibes from the coach. Well done Bevo.

Any chance Hinkley can pay some credit to how good a team we are?

Total campaigner. Watch the post matches from Adam Simpson and Leon Cameron in 2016 and take in the contrast.

Kenny, you got absolutely smashed on your home deck with the rub of the green from the umpires. Suck it up and be a man.
