i dont think any of us expected him to have the influence he has had this year, simply brilliant, credit to himMatty Boyd...tackle of the year as well. We were in all sorts, left his man and laid the perfect tackle!
enjoy it chicago, i watched it with the boys in china, everyone was very surprised how good we played, as they say 1 week is a long time in football! So I wake up late this morning (10 am) and still can't believe we won and dominated them so much. Must catch up with this thread and others and read the papers. It seems like it will be a most relaxing afternoon. Thanks Doggies!
Yeah, that was right in front of me. Must say I saw him start to go and very much feared the worst but just closed him down so quick. Excellent work.Matty Boyd...tackle of the year as well. We were in all sorts, left his man and laid the perfect tackle!
Was at the game and enjoyed every moment of booing those mentally weak softcocks Griffen and Ward. There has never been two players I wish less success upon than those two. But I do think their respective situations may give some perspective on how far our team has come.
When Judas Mcpuffyhair left we had senior players wishing him well and giving out hugs and pats on the back, it made me want to spew up. Not so much when it comes to the new breed, Hrovat, Wallis, Dahlhaus, Bonti, all gave plenty to the pig hunter and backed up the words spoken by Libba and others. I'm one that truly believes that football is as much mental as it is physical and my greatest misgiving about our previous group lacked the killer instinct to win, we had as much talent as the Cats and the Hawks but none of the bastard, we wereva team of nice guys and Brian Lake. This new breed has some prick about them. And I love it.
As for the more important part, the game, Cameron was outcoached and our players were better than theirs in every way that counted. Believe me they were trying and were extremely frustrated but we were just too good. Our best is breathtaking, I hope we play that way more often.
Quick comment on some players;
Mitch Wallis is immense, anyone who didn't think he could play should be slapped in the face.
WHE is not what we need, far too outside, for all his skill and pace he just expects things to fall his way and when they don't he's anonymous, does not work hard enough.
Roughy may be a ruck after all, but never a forward, never a forward.
Dahlhaus had 30 odd disposals and kicked 2 goals and nobody seems to care, most underrated player in the AFL.
Griffen is not the same guy he was two years ago, no heart.
Ward has zero hurt factor, and is an ordinary leader, what happened to concrete head? Played like a millionaire, which I guess he is now.
Hammers and Fletch were great, can people stop telling me Roberts is slow now? He reads the play so well it doesn't matter.
Shiel is a gun, has heart, GWS need to keep him. Hope he goes to Richmond.
Remember when people were saying Picken is not best 22, those people should feel bad about themselves.
Wood is a game changer, The Dick was stiff not to get on the end of a couple more and kick 6, but gee he works hard.
Loved Minson's enthusiasm and JJ's run.
Just a lovely arvo at the footy.
Seems to consistently have poor days when his team is down. Good player but not a leader or A grader.Agree with everything except the remarks about Ward. Didn't have his best day, but he's a terrific footballer who's courage and leadership is undoubted.
Post of the yearWith Easton Woods form and influence on the game being as immense as it is. I'm certain that when opposition players are looking to go forward all they see is this insurmountable obstacle blocking their way.

I thought I saw one, but it turned out to be a Hare Krishna on pilgrimage who just happened to be passing. There are GWS fans? You wouldn't have known it at the ground.
I have never doubted that Wally would become an excellent player. I think expectations of him early were too high and the inevitable comparisons with his mate Libber made things worse. But he was a excellent junior player, he just took a bit longer to find his feet at this level than libber, but he was always going to.I loved watching Wally's old man but 2 years ago i didnt think Wally he would make it...... Now with Libba out and Bev playing MBoyd in the backline he has really taken the next step
Wallis know his limitations with his field kicking but plays within it, but his inside abilities are right up there
Correct me if I'm wrong, but we've beaten some much better teams than them this year. I mean I think beating Sydney in Sydney is a much higher feat than beating Griffen Willy Slapped (GWS). I could be wrong though
Roberts has a lot of good attributes, but pace isn't one of them.Extremely audacious move to have a first gamer and Fletcher Roberts who has barely played any games as your key defenders. But they played like 200 gamers!!
How good is Roberts marking? And he's quick with good foot skills too. What a great pick up.
Wood was at 100% DE yesterday... How important/good is that for a defender
Maybe lead suits for the Kryptonite...hmm.. yes there is that...
