Have heard they have no interest in Gorringe. As for Ryder, they can't fit it in their cap, given that they are trying to sign Walker, Sloane and Dangerfield beyond 2015, all of which will be on big deals.

So let me get this right, Essendon in the last few years have brought in (next years ages) Goddard 30, Chapman 34, Gwilt 29, Giles 27.

Their list management is getting crazy desperate. Their age profiling for a team that is in that 6-12 range is going to be quite off.

It's also scary for them that C-D grade players like Giles and Gwilt going to them are seen as wins.

They're basically picking up the scraps from the rest of the competition at the moment. I suppose you'd expect that when you're such a rabble but still their long term planning behind closed doors must be very interesting at the moment.

They'd be CRAZY to not take our pick 17, and hopefully get a couple good mids in with pick 17 & 20. With this sort of list planning, taking nothing for Ryder, would just be silly.

to be honest i would offer up pick #35 instead of our third rounder to get it done. So Essendon can keep that or use it on Giles.

North is recruiting via the nations nursing homes and Adelaide refuses to admit they have a hole in their list from the excluded draft picks and trade out Clangerman to get picks to fix some. All three clubs unless they pull off a miracle in 2015 or 2016 are screwing themselves big time for the long term.

Nah I think North are bang on with their list reading. Their average age and experience levels mean that the prelim final they made shouldn't have been a shock. They are a few years ahead of us in development and have to shit or get off the pot. They are making some very intelligent moves IMO because it's really go now or do a full rebuild.
