Bucket man, life ban should do it

untitled_71-png.1575498
I take it that the bucket with sand is for dowsing the flares once they have burnt out. Are these buckets provided by AAMI Park? Surely they aren't allowed to bring in their own buckets.
Seems there is an acceptance by the officials that flares are OK?

Ridiculous he snuck was able to access the metal bucket with the crap in it. EFA
Flares are banned, at least that is what I heard from officials.
It's blight on security that they were able to sneak flares into the game.
There was no such issue with regards to flares in the world cup according to officials on the box.

Flares are banned, but there is an acceptance of them, which is also a tacit acknowledgment by the officials of the game that they don't really expect people to be completely entertained by the game itself.

Lighting flares is not only banned, it’s illegal (unless you have reason). Those kids on the SUP off Rosebud last night could have done with a few.

It should be looked at as a sport like WWE is.

Ridiculous how he snuck something the size of a metal bucket in with the crap in it.

When I watched a replay of the pitch invasion I saw that the buckets were actually behind the advertising hoardings and it was kicked and then picked up by one of the "invaders". They weren't in the crowd.

Could have also done with a bit of common sense.

Oh yeah. But it wouldn’t have taken much. Once they were a few hundred metres offshore, they had no further say in it. If they knew what they were doing they should have made for Blairgowrie/Sorrento, but really, as soon as they were in the current, they were off to the races. Did well to stay together

The only reasons the buckets exist at the games is because of the flares.
The buckets contain sand for the authorities to extinguish the flares.
Without the tactic approval of the games overseers for flares then the bucket would not have been there to do injury.

Local soccer crowds have always been volatile. When I was young and saw games at Olympic Park with my Yugoslavian friend, the ethnic backgrounds of the supporters of respective soccer teams used to create friction that spilled onto the field at Olympic Park. The spectators' on field action was often more entertaining than the soccer, particularly when the police horses chased lone rogue spectators across the ground.

In this case, the bucket in the face was a real low life act. I heard that 2 men had been given life long bans, but the bucket man surely has to face significant assault charges. I thought the goalie when interviewed coming off the ground was about as disciplined in his response as anyone could be in the circumstances.

Millions of dollars spent “upgrading” the Shepparton train line.
For not one minute faster trip.
In fact the new trains are uncomfortable and cramped. And the trip from Broadmeadows to Southern Cross is made at 20-30kmh.
At least it gave me time to read the graffiti…
We certainly don't have the best rail system in the world! I remember my first journey on the Shinkansen in Japan in 86 when I expected to be thrust back into my seat by the speed but discovered that the experience of riding the train was more akin to flying than land transport. We'd probably have a far superior train service if we had the same population crammed into a land mass a fraction the size of ours. We have to spread ourselves too thinly.

The most important day on the calendar for my cricketers around the world is on today. The IPL auction. Fortunately, money hasn't reached the position of being the ultimate goal in football, but the ice flow is slowing moving that way. For cricket, the embers are just smouldering with the few fans and players who have a passion for test cricket. That fire should be extinguished by the next generation. I'm hoping that I wont see footy go the same way in my lifetime.

AFL is heading in the same direction. As you posted elsewhere there is so much hype. The players are commodaties, coaches the same. With each generation I can see less of that passionate attachment to a club.

I think some welcome it as more professionalism, but twist is that the players focus more and more on the money and the crowds just breeze in for all the hype and then move onto another attraction around town...

I think it's slower with AFL because the IPL money really jolted the motivation of the cricketers. A few of them decided to become guns for hire.

But the key point is that it loses the crowds in the long run. I'll be interested to see what happens in the golf with the saudi money. Golf is a little different because its based on US crowds and americans love money, worship it. They crawl up golfers that love money. I need to clean the bbq...

I always tell mum to be wary of scammers...

Then today I get scammed out of $500..

Trying to see my Nintendo Switch, but this person convinced me I had to upgrade my Pay ID account and had to send this person 500 after they said they sent 500 for the product but that I'd get 1000

I should have seen the signs.

Sorry to hear that Jen. That person deserves to burn in the fires of hell.

Lesson learnt - never send money to anyone unless a service has been given or a product sold.

Ignore everything else.

I do laugh every time the “Melb-Bris fast train” proposition is floated.
Simply not enough population or freight movement to make it financially viable.
You’d be paying airfares plus type dollars.

Hasn’t stopped soccer reaching the heights.
There is no loyalty in that game. Everyone is a pawn to be sold at the highest price.

Don't know much about the round ball game. Would surmise they draw from a much greater population, with a greater ability to sell the respective clubs on a regional basis so attachment to particular players becomes less important. I doubt the majority of pies supporters live in Collingwood nor will their children.

Sorry to hear.
Was this via Gumtree?

As soon as the seller starts dictating how they must communicate with you or pay you, be alarmed.
They’re trying to lure you to platforms with no claw back.

There are new breeds of scamming e-commerce stores out there that are hyper professional and convincing. Positive reviews. Amazon stores. Instagram accounts.

You purchase.
Your credit card is charged immediately.
Then the communication becomes unreliable to nil. You get notifications about stock delays. Parcel tracking code issues.
They are simply trying to drag you past the 180 day credit card charge back system.
The know the rules to beat you and the banks.
The banks know as well.
And I’ve seen one try to allow the process drag out to my disadvantage.

Online shopping is awesome.
But we all need recalibrate our radars for this stuff.
