It's one I'm not understanding.
Why do people think Crows would be willing to pay way over to trade up for the local boy when he's rated on par with the other blokes in the range.
And if local boy is so important, why would it be an issue - why would Carlton draft him rather than a local boy?

Borlase actually came through the Crows NGA Academy development wise so it wasn't a case of us just "grabbing" him. If Powa wanted him they could have "grabbed" him at any point before he slipped through to the rookie draft. Truth be known Powa don't rate him and never have because they've had ample opportunities when he's been out of contract to lure him away.
He's really only a depth AFL player wherever he plays.

Genuine question, Who was the last Vic Metro first round pick for Crows? McAsey I think? Crows have made a genuine attempt in recent years to not pick Vic Metro using first round picks.

As for a rumour, twomey said it’s likely between Draper and Langford for crows pick 4, possibly depending on what Carlton do as both players are also in the blues mix.

Carlton before I was a glimmer in my dad’s eye have had a love for South Australians. I expect us to draft Draper if FOS is off the board especially due to his elite speed and agility
