Not many players leave the Blues either. I wouldn't be concerned about taking Draper if I followed Carlton. I reckon the Roos would be a bit nervous/gun-shy taking him though.

Don't have any information to discredit the cats taking Henderson but I know Mackie has definitely been trying to sell Hourigan on Geelong, they previously wanted him to have a go in their VFL but seeing as he is likely to get taken somewhere, it'd be on their AFL list from what I've heard.

Apart from JHF we have done well in keeping our interstate recruits.
Can't think of another player that has left the Roos to head home interstate.
If we have Draper clearly the best at our pick we should take him.

I think GC will be paying a fair bit of the salary - surely Port wouldn't have involved a future first if it was that much salary being dumped by GC.
Personally I'd be nervous.....the players and managers have too much power these days. I agree you have to back in your system, but I'm stating my preference. I think this stuff comes into play these days.

I agree if there is little between two players - take the Vic kid. Which its looks like FOS, Lalor and Jagga are at a similar level to Draper.

Zero, I would have thought. We would prefer to slide back and take him or Armstrong if the kicker is good enough. Otherwise, I think we'll take FOS or Draper.

I know for a fact from someone in Traralgon that Geelong have indeed asked him to come down for vfl-i would have still thought that's the path for him but maybe he will get on an afl list now as you say. Id be surprised if we took him straight from gippsland league. I know that Geelong are quite keen on henderson and obviously through the mannagh connection they would know what they are getting.
That won't be happening. The Crows would equally take Langford or Draper. Word is the club isn't set on Draper over Langford at this point, and might well go for him if Draper is still there. Him being off the board makes it easy to get him without any push back.

I rate jack crisp. but what does Langford do that Crisp doesn't? Crisp is faster, much faster, same height, better kick.

It's not like having two Dawsons would suck.
Surely Carlton don’t take the slowest bloke of the lot when they supposedly sold the farm to move up to where the quick guys are?
