Well thats a question that has only 1 answer - Not for trade

With the amount of picks Richmond have and where they are placed there is no team that has an offer to entice a trade
Only because we have so many picks (8) inside the first round and dont need any more picks
so diluting is not required. But if we only had #1 + #62 that would be a different situation as we would be desperate for more picks.

Its a shame Richmond knocked back #2 + F1 for #6 +#11
that looked like a good deal
Did this actually happen? Who knocked back who? That's a ripping deal for Tigers

Choice E

North give 2 and F2
North get 7, 18 and 23

Rich give pick 18 and 23
Rich get Saints F1 and Norths F2

Saints give 7 and F1
Saints get 2
Thats a terrible deal for Richmond and achieves nothing for our draft hand
Richmond will be looking to get 2 1st rounder in 2025 for #23 & #24

Unless the #2 comes to Richmond i highly doubt would get involved and will trade independently

There is no Harley, no Walter, no Sheezel, No JUH, No Darcey, No JHF, No Daicos and to cap it off an Ashcroft light?. It has depth but at time of drafting no one that is making a case that screams elite let alone demands to be pick 1.
Thats exactly right and thats why the value of #2 is not what it would be if there was an elite top 2-3

Yes yes, we've been through this.

It was drafted on the basis of the Marc Mcgowan article that stated you guys were a list spot short after recontracting Dow.

That article was wrong and I only just realised its been revised after posting that.

Thanks Sandra.

I don’t see why Richmond trying to get up to 2 without using 6 is “arrogant”, because they have more than enough other picks (by a long way) to be able to offer North sufficient value for the pick, without using 6.

And there’s no harm in asking. If their offer doesn’t suit what North want to do, they’re free to respond with the word “no”.

I mean I get it that North might have a big hard-on for Tarau, but would he really be better all by himself than say both Whitlocks, plus another guy they really like?

I think it’s perfectly fine and reasonable for Richmond to find out.

This looks like an amazing draft to stock up on key position players. The hit rate with them isn’t good, but if you could grab say 4 in the first 30, and two of them work out well, you’ve gotten two guys that are generally hard to get your hands on.
100%

Richmond would rate the top 6/7 as being the same level talent and would think why trade up and lose a 1st rounder for similar rated player. But if Richmond get another pick in that tier then its a viable trade

That is the reported target and no we don’t.

It looks like your choosing between multiple teens picks (that you arguably would have laughed at west coast for taking) and our offer which gets you back in at 7 and a future pick.

I don’t really care either way from here. But we don’t need to do anything.

It’s a fair offer as far as I’m concerned.

Richmond doesn’t seem to be giving you a top 10 pick
You probably DO need to do something.

You need top shelf mids. Picks 7 and 8 are tier two mids. There's a massive incentive for you to trade up.

Too much smoke around for it not to be true imo but of course we will never find out
But when you look at the St Kilda offer it actually looks around the mark

#7 + F1 which north would have to trade out to get the extra pick will probably only get a pick around #20 maybe later
This year the future picks just dont have the value and picks 10-20 look like getting a premium

LOL you really think Richmond would sign Dow & McIntosh who we could easily drop to the Rookie list
Blair Hartley is one of the best list managers around and would not compromise losing a pick with a rookie error

Brady Rawlings is famously steadfast in his convictions; there’s no way he’ll entertain a slide beyond six.

I took an article published in the age stating it as fact on face value.

I’m very glad that you’re satisfied with your list manager. It fills me with vicarious joy and mirth.

This is the problem with Richmond absolutely ripping off Gold Coast and the Eagles.

They now expect everyone to just accept the rough end of the pineapple.

Saints will 100% trade 7 or 8 or both

These picks are in no mans land, just outside the top 5/6 elite mids and picks that get them the same level of ability up to pick 15

One thing they will not do is sit on their hands they will trade up or down for sure

The top 6 or 7 aren't.

There's a top 4, then Langford.

Then probably Tauru and Smillie, though at least Smillie could slide, and not all clubs would have a third tall as pick 6.

I see.

So, just to make sure I’ve got this right, it’s completely understandable why the Tigers wouldn’t want to trade out pick 6, which is basically the same as pick 2, but as for picks 7 and 8, well they’re in no mans land and a certainty to be traded out.

Have I got that right?

There is a top 4 because you have pick 4

It’s like Carlton fans saying nth should reach at 2 so they get fos at 3 lol

The market determines the price

Not me

A top 4 that the Crows look like passing on at pick 4. Unless you're including Ashcroft in that top 4 then carry on.

No there isn't.

There's a top four because the same four players turn up in the top four in 95% of talent lists.

An occasional mention of Langford, but as many have him slide due to his foot speed issues.
