The Dees have been very quiet. Jason Taylor is pretty clever and left field. Wouldn’t be surprised if he’s sitting there waiting for North to end up with Saints F1 and tries a trade for 9 for both F1’s. Just as an example. Not saying it’ll happen, but this is the sort of stuff that would be being discussed.

There’s heaps to play out with the F1’s I reckon.

Dees turned our swap with them, pick 8 for a F1, into 3 premiership players a few years back. Or was it 2? Dees supporters will remember…….it was definitely Kosi and Rivers but I thought there was a 3rd player.

They ended up with pick 8 from us and traded it with a Freo. Freo took Serong. I’m sure on that part as North supporters lament we could have had Serong ……but Dees did more with what they got from Freo.

With the Richmond Smilie rumours it just sounds like a no go. You're assuming that they see a big gap between 2 and 6, but it sounds like they don't.

I don't view him as risky as he'll make it as a forward at AFL if he isn't up to midfield, which is a distinct possibility.

'No chance' is an overconfident phrase in this year's draft. Draper is everything Carlton's midfield currently isn't + is plug and play for rd. 1 next year - very handy for a team that's contending now. There's every chance.

I’ve been a FOS fan all year, but watching Draper videos has made me completely reassess. Draper is nuts good! I’d take him at 2. Tough, quick, skilful, runs all day. Already has an AFL frame, or close to. Kids gunna be a gun.
I would’ve liked North to offer our F1 for Adelaide’s 4…….take Draper and then someone else(wonder who) at 4. Gives Adelaide 2 bites at Dyson Sharp for next year.

There's a bit of posturing going on for now but once we get down to tin tacks I expect North to trade back from #2 (meaning FOS likely goes at #2) and then Adelaide pony up for #3 to get the local lad.

I think if Sid had not had an injury interrupted year (and if he was from VIC) he would be rated a lot higher.

I have thought of those 2 together…….but you could also always have at least one of them in there too…….so it would be relentless attack on the ball. Love him.

We wouldn't do that, lacking A graders. Need talent now.
Draper is a gun and ready to play; if there was a criticism he can sometimes be messy with decision making and disposal, most likely as he's generally in energizer bunny mode. Similar I'd say to a younger Dangerfield who would impossibly explode out of stoppages but could be random with what happened next. He seemed to work out ok though.
