Who knows, but if North want Tauru at 2, but are confident he gets to 7, it works for North and may be the best they can do if they're not interested in future picks.

Tauru hasn’t played for a month approx and has climbed boards at a rapid rate. He could go at 1 at the rate he has climbed. I don’t think he will, I’m projecting.
But I bet, even if we have 6, Dees will play funny buggers with 5.

Position of F1s, waiting an extra year and quality of draft not being as well known drives a big discount on F1.
Sensible decision is to hold F1 if you feel clubs are devaluing it too much.

You'd need to be either really confident that he gets to 7 or happy with who else would be available.
You need Melbourne to fall in love with somone at 2 and split 9 with GWS for 15 and 16 and then give you 5 and 15 for 2. Don't think it's that likely though.
No. He'll go at 6 if Richmond holds it, or likely to St Kilda if we don't. If he gets past there Melbourne will probably take him at 9, and if they don't, Richmond definitely will at 10 or 11.
GWS would be pulling off the biggest heist since The Great Train Robbery.

Not a chance in hell we will offer pick 4 and future 1st for 2 .Why would we it will either be draper, smith ,FOS, langford or lalor.

Nope ,its either going to be smith, draper, lalor or fos it all depends on what the tigers do ,cant see north taking taru at 2 .Can see tigers taking lalor and either FOS or draper at 2 .Going to need those for f/s next year probably

I wonder if North discussed trading with you guys for pick 4 at the trade table. We’ve got a couple of promising SA blokes, plus others like Phillips etc that could have been of interest with our F1.
Would’ve been chatted about, surely. Too late now.
Your club will have a preference and a price they're willing to pay. Whether that's enough to get a deal done is another story.

On the surface that looks like a very reasonable deal all-round.
Assuming North take Tauru at 7, it means we could take Allan at 8 and then potentially one of Reid or Lindsay at 11, which I think would be an excellent result for us. I don’t think there’s much between the group that will go 8-12 or so.
Then we get an extra first rounder as a bonus. Grab a Whitlock or Dodson there.
If we weren’t going to get 2, that could be our next best bet.

That would achieve exactly what North seem to be trying to do, if they were sure they would get Tauru at 7.
Their objective seems to be:
Get Tauru and another top 20 pick.
Getting 7 and 18 for 2 potentially achieves both of those objectives.
And if doing those deals means Richmond get 2, without having lost 6, they achieve what they seem to want to do.
While we presumably get the guy we would have taken at 7, at 8, then we have another crack just 3 picks later, then a bonus pick at 20.
Looks like an excellent result all-round to me.
The only potential issue (if North are sure Richmond won’t take Tauru at 6), is the potential of Melbourne spoiling the party at 5.
Otherwise, that seems like a deal that has a lot to like from all parties.

I’m actually dubious this is legitimate. Allan/SOS have a history of throwing curve balls/being pains in the ass, depending on your take
Is Lalor a lock for Richmond if they don't have #2 too?
