You might want to dive deeper how many of those around us have played west coast, north and Richmond……

Our % is s**t against the teams we have played. No hiding that fact.

Port and Freo have played all 3 and Freo got belted by the Eagles and have a massive % of 110.

Port beat us by more points than those 3.

Never unhappy with a win but the way we win must be unpredictable or we will be exposed like the Swans are!

Btw for anyone unhappy with a win, take a look on the crying on the Tigers board. Made me feel a LOT better about beating those campaigners.
They really are a lost bunch lol. So deluded it's not funny. We were horrible for a decent portion of that game no doubt. Didnt play the conditions at all. Having said that, on a dry deck though we win that game by 50+.

Bravo Nick Hind.

I was disappointed in our midfield clearance work but very impressed with our back 6. They really held down the fort and provided rebound the other way.

I wouldn't want us to play that way too often though as I'm not convinced its sustainable. Need to go a lot closer to breaking even in the middle. Ridley and Redman had ridiculous intercept games. Won't get that every week.

In the context of our whole season - great we found a way to win, but yeah we seem to be limping by and our midfield injuries are mounting. I dare say Shiel is a pretty decent chance to get a game next week.

Disappointing to get smashed in the middle so soundly when its been one of our strong points of the year. Goldy was beaten by Nank.

We need to sort out our i50 kicking. It is terrible, we really too much on players being brilliant instead of manufacturing chances. Richmond could regularly hit up a 1 on 1 contest i50 and we struggled to give our forwards a chance.

They really are pathetic at the moment Richmond. We honestly should’ve hammered them by 60 points but it’s like we just don’t have it in us to go for the easy kill. They’ll finish bottom 2 for sure…

Scott needs to spread the load, we were getting smashed in the middle and we kept rolling out the same 4.

Caldwell Perkins and Durham have never played so much midfield in their lives. This happened last season too. Scott plays a short mid rotation. We had tsatas playing fwd/wing. Why not throw him in there.

Everyone saying we are missing parish, I think we look tired.

Goldstein got smashed. He needs a spell. I’d be disappointed if he gets taken to the Gold Coast.

Against Gold Coast away I would happily choose a hungry Bryan Shiel and tsatas and play them midfield, and move the magnets around to allow main mids to rest.

The stat guy at Sen said on 9 occasions the team dominating as Sydney has at this time of the year has won the premiership 1 times out of 9!

The pressure is on them to be more flexible! We are in the box seat! Not them! We have a chance to reinvent ourselves!

As crap as we played, we were never a threat to lose that game. As funny as it sounds, Richmond didn't win a single quarter.

The biggest positive for me is that we've demonstrated that we can win off intercepts and punishing turnovers which we weren't able to do at the beginning of the year.

My concern in the first 8 weeks was that we relied too much on goals from stoppages and I needed to see us dominate scores from turnovers like good sides. Ridley's intercepts, composure and good kicking from defence provides us that. It means that we can still win games and control the territory even when the midfield isn't performing well. The best sides in the competition like Sydney are able to win even when their midfield is dominated (see Bulldogs vs Sydney on Thursday and Sydney vs Essendon).

Collingwood in 2022 were expected to crash because of their poor percentage. They just kept winning close no matter where the opposition was on the ladder. Even lost to a West Coast side at home that won only 2 games for the year. Lost to Sydney by 1 point in a prelim.

Wins are the only thing that matters at this stage, especially for a side that's coming off a poor two decades. If it takes scraping by every week to create a winning culture, then I'll take it.

Richmond played well and brought pressure they didn't bring the last two weeks yet we never looked like losing. Essendon haven't lost in 7 weeks straight and that's all I can ask for. Literally no Essendon side since 2000 achieved that. Haven't lost in Melbourne all year and played only one terrible game vs Port.

We just need to make it intact to the bye and get Parish and Setterfield back. Then we can reload and hopefully peak in the second half of the year.

Have not seen the game . Away camping at the Winton Historic car races .
All I can say is MMM commentators suck . Listened for 5 minutes.
Switched to SEN on the AFL app. Matt Hill good. Hannaberry to busy sooking over umpire decisions.

Listened until Half time. Was frustrated we could not get on top but then that is where we are at .
We are not a side bouncing back from a run at the top of the ladder. We are a club trying to climb out off 20 years of mediocrity. That is our lot .

Looking for big wins is simply putting the horse in front of the cart .

Still have spots that need upgrading. Players who still need development and a continuance of team defence and game plan development.

I am taking another win . I am taking the gradual improvement and I am keeping it real . Enjoy the wins . There is no such thing as a bad win when you have been in our position for 20 years.

And the Tigers where never going to lay down back at the G in a big game after the last 2 weeks.

Word of the day for this thread. Perspective.
