I'm a bit surprised by that. Grant's looked pretty good IMO. Possibly better than some much more experienced teammates at this stage.

I agree, but if he has one bad week he could be gone. I'm risking it as my 9th forward, he's in his 3rd season and I rate his ability. Fyfe played against 2 ordinary sides, so is really hard to gauge.

im thinking of doing banner to howlett. it will only net me 50K but im concerned that banner might not get another look-in unless here are a swag of injuries. hmmm

You got a pritty solid team there mate! Youve already used 5 trades if i were you id run nason and sit on it for a week or so. If your dead set on getting hargrave in i wouldnt do it this week. He still has the 65 in his score so if he scores well is isnt gonna shoot straigh back up in one week. It also gives you more confidence that he has turned it around. Anyone playing in the doggies defence could of scored well last week with the zone stkilda was playing.

As i said i would save your trades till next week. Shephard is debuting this week for west coast who is a promising defender so you could always downgrade nason or silvagni to him next week or the week after. Also rohan is debuting at sydney this week who also comes with big wraps. SO plent of options to downgrade next week if you want. If you wanna downgrade this week then i would drop someone to hams. Looks the most likley to hold his spot imo and is still at a good price. Either way i wouldnt bring in hargrave till next week minimum.

Thanks for the advice. I already used my two for this week getting in Swan for Trengove. So i wasn't planning on getting him till next week or the week after. He'll probably be my last back trade. I think Water is a 7th back.

Mids are also set, maybe trade Barlow but he's not at that point yet. Maybe Hille for Cox soon.

Then forwards need work.

Been thinking about doing it all week. Both good pros and cons to the trade. 90% sure I wont do it, but with 4 hours to go, who the **** knows.

lol yer. Thinking of Kennelly -> Hargrave. Kennelly may struggle against Geelong, Bulldogs and Freo becausew he may be forced to play tight roles on the small forwards of these clubs (Byrnes, Varcoe, Higgins, Ballantyne, ect).

Hargrave will verse Melbourne, Sydney, Kangaroos and Essendon. Dogs will most likely win these games which may mean plenty of junk time for Hargrave and an opportunity to attack.

Tough decision.

My backline.

Gram, Hargrave, Duffield, Enright, Hodge, Kennelly, Waters

Just a bit worried about Gram not making it up and really want some cover.

Nice backline and interesting to see that you have already completed it before this weeks trades.

However
Goddard, Hodge, Enright, Carazzo, H.Shaw, Malceski, Waters > Gram, Hargrave, Duffield, Enright, Hodge, Kennelly, Waters

:D

This is a trading help thread, not a 'My backline in my 37th team is better than yours' thread.

So guys this is my midfield at the moment(clearly my weakest link):

Bartel, Swan, Barlow, Mitchell, Trengove, McKenzie (Shuey, Banner)

Got a pretty big game coming up in my league, and obviously I'm gonna cop a zero unless I make a trade. I've got 15 trades left. I'm thinking:

Banner -> Howlett (or anyone else if someone can recommend someone better?)
and pocketing the cash and trading up someone else in future weeks (eg Trengove or McKenzie when their price starts to plateau). Do you think it's worth doing that, or cop the zero, wait for Banner to come back and make some cash off him?

edit: traded bastinac to marc murphy thursday night, only trade for this week.

Cunnington.

Carrying Howlett, Shuey, Mckenzie, Mitchell could be risky.

very tough call pornstar...

in my opinion bringing in howlett in you situation does not gain enough value. both cash wise (70k) or thereabouts and not good enough job security. if i were you i would just hold off that trade, mitchell should be back next week and mackenzie might hold onto his spot long enough until your ready to upgrade him.

cop the d0nut

Hey guys, this weeks trades are doing my head in! Any help would be fantastic!

My mids are: Ablett, Selwood, Boak, Barlow, Trengove, Scully (Martin, Schuey)

and forwards are: Chapman, Pav, Brown, Gia, Zieball, Duncan, Pods (Hitchcock, Dangerfield)

Not sure whether to get on howlett this week for either trengove or scully and get rid of zieball for o'keefe/sylvia? Would this be a smart move?

So Shaw+Malceski VS Hargrave + Broughton

(Shaw) 91.2 + (Malceski) 91 VS (Hargrave) 60 + (Broughton) 89.17

182.2 vs 149.17

This means Mal+Shaw> Hargrave + Broughton

Let alone on avg Malceski 91, Shaw 91 > than 2x Broughtons.

anyone thinking neon leon as a potential upgrade - sideways trade in the follow weeks???

Defiantly towards the end of the season, it is pretty clear that he is carrying an injury, playing far less in the midfield so far (if any in some matches) and just looks out of it.

hey guys, am i better off trading trengove or martin for howlett? i think martin will rise more in value than trengove in the next few weeks.

now im just trying to decide what to do w/ seaby. its between sandi, cox and kruezer. sandi is the obvious choice points-wise but cox looks to be back to some good form while kreuzer is just a cheaper/solid option to save $$ for an upgrade elsewhere....thoughts?

if you were to choose one id choose scully. Trengove is set to rise in price more and is probably the sort of guy youd look to upgrade rather than downgrade. Scully is closer to maxing out. I traded ziebel out for pav so i think this is a good move. Out of the two i would choose okeefe. Playing in a better team and in the mid field he is an awsome player to have in your team. Cant go wrong. Sylvia is a good pick as well but scores may go up and down a bit naturally because melbourne will get belted some weeks. Just up to you whether you think howlett is a good pick or not. Another thing to think about would be to sit on scully and trengrove for the next week or so because rohan is debuting at sydney this week and there has been massive wraps about him. The downside of him is he is worth 136k. There is mixed opinions about howletts job security so really up to you to make a decision based on your research and reading. Few things to think about anyway:)

instead of downgrading scully, downgrade dangerfield to rookie to make cash.... scully should b used for an upgrade imo.

ROK would look pretty good in that forward line mate - go for it i reckon!

still plenty of money to be made out of those two in the coming weeks.. what about downgrading a forward or back if your in need of some cash??

I need to do one downgrade in the next 3-5 weeks, preferably to someone I can keep on the bench all year long as backup. Wondering if I should go to for Fyfe or Howlett this week, or wait and look at Rohan or jaensch or someone else in future weeks?

Dangerfield or Duncan OUT for Howlett.......sacrificing the mid/fpr DP???

Duncan dropped after a great game :mad:....dosent say much for his JS!!!
Other mid bench is Shuey.....preying he is back ASAP.....

aghhhhhhh DT u do my head in!

thx,
