Ive got Rocklift in my subs im not sure if i should trade Tippett or just swap him with Rockliftt.

If I was to trade Tippett who should i get?

Was set on the roo/tippett for brennan/rioli trade, but with tippett being named im think of going just Roo for Goodes - thing is i like many other foolish men had tippett as a keeper at start

.......
(i have brown/rok already and dont want 4 dockers for Pav...hence goodesy is best other choice)...

any help would be cool !!!

thx,

Tippet may still be a late withdrawl but if you can cover him it is not worth the trade. I would just sit tight with the Riewoldt---->Goodes trade in your situation.

Tippet will hit form sometime soon, and if you believe this stick by him

Would be good if tippet plays this week. Looking at carltons backline its probably the second worst going around. Could kick a bag.

I don't get this theory? He has looked like he was playing hurt for 2 rounds, mid week the rumour starts of knee tendonitis, something that isn't healing until next year, then he gets a further injury and you think he is coming good? I traded him prior to last week and prior to knowing he was injured and still felt good with the trade. Players who don't look interested at the start of the season rarely turn it on as it gets longer.

If the knee tendonitis is true it is a different story. But we all know how good he can be, and it probably at the time wasn't a good decision to jump off him early.

Lot's of players start off the season slow and come good eventually. Form in the first 3 rounds doesn't equal ones form for the whole season.

However if he does have knee tendonitis this could pose a problem for Tippet owners in the next few rounds

FFS, both Danger and Tippett named, now i dunno what to do. Already did Roo>Okeefe, and was planning to do Tippett down to Rockliff, now I have no idea.... Also Waite dropped but not too worried, have Maguire to cover while he is out for 1-2 weeks, hopefully 1.

Thats exactly i want to offload him, with scores of 40 and 33 in the last 2 weeks, his breakeven im guessing is high 100s, and can possibly produce another under 50 point game to drop another 15-20k, so I think its a risk to keep him.

his break even is 133, if he scores 44 he will drop another 31k.
i would love to do tippet >> rockliff but really would rather watch another game from him first

Actually wasn't going to trade this week (not going for the comp win, just the league), so thought I'd sit on Volt and see how Rocky went, but now I'm thinking Volt to Rocky and Shuey to Boyd (Assuming Shuey is basically done as a cash cow now).

Would like another premium mid and I think I can carry an average forward for a while.

That infact can be a good thing IMO. Yes when the Dockers have a real bad game you might not score great but this will be countered by the really good games they have. Lots of people seem to believe that having multiple players from the same team is bad but it really is not. In fact, i think it can be completely the opposite. If you had say 8 players from Geelong, when they have a bad week you will run the risk of scoring lowly but when they have a good game you will get rewarded. You don't lose anything by getting a bad score one week but by getting a good score you have the potential for great gain - i.e a weekly prize. Obviously the better teams in the comp. are the ones that are more likely to be involved in handing out 'shellackings' like the Saints v Roos a few weeks ago. If you had 8 Saints players from this game you would likely be laughing.

It seems that people are willing to acknowledge the 'risk' of low scores from teams when they have an 'off day' or get beaten comprehensively but do not seem to acknowledge the flipside which has HUGE potential reward - up to $11,000 this year in one week. The question i ask before i pickup multiple, 3-4+, players from one team is whether i see enough upside/value in each individual pick.

If i do see enough value, it doesn't matter how many players from that team i have, as long as each individual has upside. And often the more players from quality teams the better. Imagine if you had 15 guns from Dogs, Cats and Saints and they happened to play say Dees, Tigers and the Roos/Eagles/underdone Crows in a single round. Anyway, point i'm trying to make is that you should judge each player on their individual merit. If you think Pav>Goodes than go for it.
